I'd love to join in with you ladies. I too weigh over 300 pounds and I am aslo disgusted with the way I look. I am a SAHM and have five boys. I homeschool them so my days are very busy and stressful. I am trying my best to stop binge eating. It's gone well so far. I have been doing WW for the past week and I'm trying my hardest to get a grip on my binge eating. So far so good.

I also have a very limited wardrobe. I have two pair of jeans that are gastly tight on my belly and my sz. 26/28 tops are snug and they use to be baggy!! I am so sick of it that I have to stop!

So if there's room scoot over and let me in....

Thanks, I have never thought to look at mens T-shirts, I mean there are some pretty ones for even men these days lol. I will definitely check out some web sites. You said to not be offended, but I am not sure if you mean about your sympathies over my having a bag, or telling me to look at mens T-shirts. Either way, no offense taken at all. I appreciate both your sympathies and your advice.

Hey Chrissy, welcome. Glad to see another new face. Like yourself I have been dieting for a week, well actually this is my second week and I am using the WW points system. WOW 5 boys, AND you homeschool them. Is that through choice, or do you live too far from the nearest school? I think it's fabulous that you homeschool them, although it must be hard to find time for yourself. Do you find you binge eat after not eating much throughout the day because you are too busy and get starving hungry? Congrats on getting it under control though my new friend, keep looking forward to seeing those lbs coming off. Hope to get to know you better through your posts,

Good morning, everyone!

Well, after another LONG day yesterday (didn't get home till 11pm for the third day in a row--and I get up at 4:30am!), I woke up this morning with a sore throat. I think I might be pushing myself a little too much--good thing I don't have to work tonight, plus there's a 3-day weekend right around the corner!

My weigh-in should go well tonight at TOPS--according to my hom scale this morning, I am down at least 2 pounds for the week. Can't wait to see the official number with 7 in it and be out of the 280s for good!

And man, it is September already! Well, I say "already" because time seems to be going by quickly, but at the same time, I wish it was actually October because I can't WAIT to move!!

Hope today's weigh- in goes well for you, I lost 2 1/2 lbs today at my slimming class(which I gained last week).
I don't know how you do two jobs, I'm at home with two small boys and I'm pooped just looking after them let alone keeping the place tidy & laundry etc.
When I got below 280 I was so excited, it's 20 stone for us brits, being in the 'teens' feels great, I'm sure you'll do it, after all that rushing around I'm suprised that you have'nt wasted away!

I forgot to say about slimming world, there are SYNS which are for chocs, alcohol, whatever you want, all foods are valued in a book or on-line. Ilost 2 1/2 lbs this week, really pleased. Saw an old griend who used to go with me, she lost 56-58lbs, put it on again then lost it whilst I've ben struggling to lose my weight, sigh!
Chrissy B, it is so hard to stop bingeing (spelling?) I have all the crisps,biccies& goodies in the garage, most of the time I can't be bothered to unfasten the gate, unlock the garage and find them! You could try that, or not allowing the less healthy food in in the first place. I'm always in control, until I get down, them I'll eat almost anything, even stuff I don't normally even like!
It must be so hard teaching your kids, are you a teacher or do you get support from a group? Why home teach? sorry, just curious, not malicious.

It has been so long since I have contributed. Hopefully you all won't want me to go away again after this post! I am soooo depressed about my weight. I fell off the wagon big time and ouchy it hurts. I need encouragement. I think I told everyone about my husband getting fired the first part of August. Well, we immediately put our home up for sale. I have to say I wasn't very encouraged about it selling because: 1) we haven't yet finished landscaping the back yard 2) they are still building brand new homes in this subdivision and why would they want to purchase a house that is 2 years old when you can buya brand new one for about $25,000 less 3) I don't care for where we live and I'm sure no one else does either. (Negative much?) Well, a huge company in Spokane WA just paid for my husband't flight up and back and a rental car while there and all of his meals etc. for a job interview. They said they want to hire him and will email him an offer this week sometime. We haven't seen the offer yet. In the mean time, a couple came to look at our home yesterday (we are selling with help u sale to save money so we showed the house ourselves) while showing the house they were oohing and Ahhing about this and that. The lady told us they will make an offer to their reltor. Again, I was negative but our help u sale guy just called and said they are going to be faxing an offer over this afternoon. All this to say that I am soo stressed out. I have been since my hubby got fired. And I just ate like a pig. I did step on the scale last week and saw I had gained back some weight. I am not going to step back on the scale right now because I will loose it if I am up too much. I also had surgery on my mouth and the only thing I could eat was soft stuff like oh, I don't know, ICE CREAM! I couldn't exercise because the pressure would go to my mouth when I got my blood going. My husband's truck got into a wreck while parked so we are using one car right now which gives me a great excuse to not go to the gym to swim. Yikes what a whiner I am. Thank you so much for listening to me girls. I really do want to get back on the wagon (holding hand up to a few of you to pull my big ole but back onto the wagon). OK, Thanks gals.

Welcome everyone that is new. I am so glad that you are here. Jilly bean, I was shocked at what you are paying for rent too. I have a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom 2 car garage and I pay $715 a month for a mortgage. I have never been to your part of the country but wowie it must be spectacular to be costing that much!

Catherine honey and anyone else in the area hit by the hurricane, I sure do hope that you are safe and sound! I am praying for you all.

Suemarie: I'm so glad that you got to go on a trip. I read your post about depression and it sounded like I could have written it the part about telling James there is someone better for him. I did that too for a spell. You my dear are the best thing for James! He is lucky to have you at any size!

On a nicer note, At this time today 20 years ago, my husband and I were in South Lake Tahoe after driving all night in a place called the "Chappel of Love" seriously. We eloped, tied the knot, Got hitched etc. 20 years ago today. Wow time flies.

Hello and welcome!
My name is PJ and I so know what you are talking about. As for a wardrobe, I haev 2 pairs of jean shorts, one is getting pretty threadbare too. Shirts, they fit but not to make me feel comfortable in them. I had boughts bunch of clothes in the beginning of the summer that I was squeezing into, but I haven't put most of them on at all.

Wow you homeschool your 5 boys?!?!? Do you have multiples?
I am glad that you are here with us. You are not alone with yoru struggles. Congrats with your success not bingeing. I am a HUGE binger and am fighting with it daily. I look forward to getting to know you better!

I haev to apologize to you. I am so sorry. I read messages out of order and didn't realize that Sharon was talking to you about the "bag". I thought she was referring to me and my tummy over hang. I didn't and would never try to minimize your health condition. I am truly sorry.

Be kind to yourself and try to start taking care of yourself, not by feeding the fear you are feeling. Vent to us your worries. Making yourself sick is not going to help anything.
