  • Hi everyone.

Brenda: for OP! I do better when I'm not at other's houses too. I seem to think when I'm in the car, carbs do not count. We're getting those calls now too and they're taking up as much room as they can. I just got AOL Call alert and I love hitting the "leave a message" or "I don't know you" button. I hope you get some sleep soon.

Leenie: Oh my goodness. That sounds so serious and I'm glad you didn't injure an eye. Hope you feel better soon and not so much pain. I hope your allergy test show you what's giving you problems.

Jane: I don't see clothes I like and/or look good on me. And if I find something, it's the wrong color or too expensive. I hope your allergy test show you what's giving you problems. I'd like to find some decent-fitting blouses for my body type. I suppose this is where my sewing machine steps in.

Lisa: It's hard to pop in and say hi to all, all the time when things are so busy. So if and when you can, let us know how you and the baby are.

Gina, Sorry that % @# girl did that. No words could ever get through to someone so immature anyway. I prefer to give a smirky "You're a stare" to people like that and make them wonder what I'm thinking. I had to play volleyball against one of my ex-hub's hotties on a city league-one of the two I caught him with in my own house. I was so ticked, and of course I just played for fun and she was on the college team. She slammed the ball down my throat a few times. To add insult to my injuries that night, we lost. After all these years, still makes me lol So I feel for you.

Marie: You're so lucky to go to Paris and again. I've always wanted to go just for lunch...there I go eating again.

TG, Sorry your kids are still so sick. I hope they're alright soon. Too bad I don't live closer to you. I'd run to the store for you and drop and run the food on your porch...w/o getting to close to the flu zone.

Me, ..still OP. I showed a little gain today, but everytime I make LC soup, I over salt about 3 times while making it, and then salt again when I eat it. That makes me hold a lot of water weight...it will be off tomorrow, so I'll ignore it today knowing I have been strict OP.
  • Sonnet: Way to go! Don't worry about the salt bloat....drink your water and that will go away. You are doing great. And what kind of LC soup did you make...I am always looking for LC soup recipes. Give!

TG: Glad they are feeling better...hope you don't catch it!

Almost time to go home for me.....got sewing to do and DAMN it I am going to get it done tonight! No excuses!!!!!!!

    Good night all.
  • Thanks Jane. I posted an Atkins' recipe "Creamed Chicken and Mushrooms" in the "Weekend Chat October 9th and 10th" thread. That is also delicious with an extra can of chicken broth to eat as a soup. I think so anyway.

So yesterday, I took this recipe, but left out the chicken, mushrooms, and wine, and replaced them with two pieces of fried up bacon, a bit of spinach, two cans of clams and a little extra chicken broth to make up for the wine. Oh, and all that salt. LOL
