  • Thanks Jennifer for re-posting that recipe.

My weigh-in this morning isn't too surprising, given the fact that I ate junk all weekend. No loss, but thankfully, no gain either. So I'm holding steady at 220. Can't wait to get past that point.

Since I ate well over 60g of carbs 3 days running, I think I'm going back into induction for a bit. I think it will help me get back on track again.

  • Way to go, Karen and Karla. Jen, good for you not giving up. A couple of days of Induction and lots of water will get you back on track.
I had to go back to Week 1 posts to remember what my goal was. Did I really say I wanted to lose 12 lb by Hallowe'en?? Well, as of this morning I've lost 5, so I guess I'm doing pretty good. I really have to thank Body Flex for this 5 lb loss. I also think the yogurt has helped me get over a stall so I'm going to continue with both. My clothes are definitely feeling looser. I have more energy and I feel firmness in areas where I used to just feel flab.
Okay, who hasn't checked in yet? Come on, Chicks. 'Fess up! Good news or bad, we want to see the numbers.
  • I'm not sure how much I had lost at my last posting. My days ran together with the 7 day power outage. I've lost 5 pounds of my 20 pound goal. I don't think I'll meet my goal but I'm trying.
  • 165!!! 11 more to my goal of 154. Time to kick into high gear. 4 weeks to goal. This may be the first challenge I actually meet my goal. We can do this!
  • Down 2 this week.

Down 12 total! I'm happy so far. Woo Hoo!!!

  • hey all. i'm down another 1.4 which puts me at 192, with a total challenge loss of 18 so far. i've got 7 more to hit my 25 lb goal. i really need to kick it in high gear with exercise. i'm gonna shoot for 3 times a week. i had a bad reaction to the turkish laxative herbal tea and wound up in the er on saturday. my potassium was low. the er doc said that low potassium can cause constipation. so, i've got to find some potassium, psyllium husk, and maybe protein powder for the smoothie recipe to help things move along. i checked in briefly yesterday and didn't see anyone on. of course, i'm 7 hours ahead of the east coast. i'm almost done with my boxes. the reaction to the tea on saturday and remnants sunday messed up my schedule for finishing them. oh well. hope to have them done by this sunday. on the upside--the trip to germany has been changed from november to the spring. sooooo, hopefully i'll be 145 by the time we go. woohoo. good luck all. sorry to write so much.
  • Fullfig, you're doing great! I was gonna send you some of my clothes that were too big but at the rate you're losing, you will be smaller than me before they reached you. Sorry you had such bad luck with the tea. I changed my mind about having you send some to me.

Sounds like everyone is doing great. I hope to be able to check in a bit more often.
  • Ok, last week I got frustrated when I gained a pound for no reason, and it was just 'that much easier' to nibble or make bad choices, and now I have gained another pound, which IS for good reason. I have practically lived in restaurants this last week, and that has got to quit!

I've made this excuse all over the board, but I'll share again. Rob has gone back to Holland for a 10 day visit. Between long hours at work and helping him get prepared, we've had TOO much convenience food. It really screwed me up and now I am paying for it. Thank goodness I am exercising, or it would have been worse. I have every intention of turning it around this week, to at least get me to where I was two weeks ago. I can do it.

Linda, yogurt works good in that recipe, it just isn't as thick. I used it at first, but changed to CC to give it some bulk.
  • jennifer--you can do it. just throw up a leg and get back on that wagon.

supersized--you are doing really well too. i can hardly wait till we get to see each other again. i was just counting up how much lil sis, you, and i have lost between us--109 lbs. wow! what a family reunion when we all get together again. in one month, i've lost one inch from bust (woo hoo), 1.5 off waist (big woo hoo), and 1 off hips.

congrats to all who are losing. congrats too to all of us who are trying to make changes in our lives to be healthier for ourselves and our families. have a great week!
