  • Good day ladies

I'm not staying long. I've gotta hit the showers and get my sorry *** ready for work.
I'm sick! Dh gave me his nice little cold and now I'm sick!

I wanted to share with you all that I took a pilates class last night at the gym(that's when I started coming down with this cold) and I really enjoyed it. My thighs, calves and abs are sore this morning, but a good sore!

Welcome to all the new comers!

    I'm off to the shower
    Chat with you all later

  • DS#1 is coming home from NYC tonight!! I have to pick him up at 11pm, and I just KNOW that when I ask how the week went he will say, "It was okay."
I just hope he will EVENTUALLY let me know how much fun he had!!!!!
  • Den, we want to hear all about DS's trip!!
  • Wanted to bump this up, and also give the (expurgated) version of DS's trip to New York:

He went to a Rangers game (tie), saw "Urinetown" the day before the musicians' strike started, saw the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, and now wants to attend Columbia after touring it!! (Better win the lottery or get a scholarship!!! $37,000 a year is too rich for my blood!!!) Of course he USED to want to go to Oxford, so maybe this will pass too!!!

They all met with some of the Nicaraguan ambassadors, and DS actually met the guy he was representing!! (DS was in the Nicaraguan in the Special Political Committee and this guy is the REAL Special Political member from Nicaragua!!) The last day his committee actually met in the General Assembly room, so they sat at the official UN desks and used microphones, and pressed buttons to vote (votes appeared up on the electronic board!!) VERY COOL!!!
This is the room you see when you see the General Assembly debating something. The chair told DS that he had done a very good job, and the other students thought he had the coolest hair of anyone in committee, so he came home a happy camper!!!!
  • Den, I'm so glad that your DS had a good time! What a great experience! And how cool that he got to meet the guy he's representing!
  • It sounds like DS had a blast. That is so cool. And perefect timing on the Broadway show too. I am glad he had fun.
  • Yes, I was thinking about the strike... I was cringing wondering if your son had gone all the way to NY just to MISS seeing a Broadway show! Phew!
  • Sounds like Den's DS is bound for a great career as a diplomat. "Urinetown"? There's a catchy title! I'll be making up songs all day for the musical version ...
    "When we're kissing,
    Think of Pissing
    'Cuz we're in Urinetown"

    (Sometimes I disgust myself!)
  • Hee hee hee hee
    oh ho ho ho
That made me laugh so hard
    I really have to go........

(Ruthxxx, I just love your sense of humor!)
  • *lol* Ruth I nearly spit watermelon all over my keyboard when I read that.
  • Yeah, that Ruth PRETENDS to be straight-laced, but she's right off the wall.
  • Ruth! You are so funny!!!!! I think the kids PICKED the show just based on the name!!!!
  • "We'll go sight seeing,
    when we're done peeing,
    'cause we're in urinetown!"

(By the way, I think it IS a musical!!!!!)

    "Whether it's hers or his,
    It's still a whiz
    when you're in urinetown!"
  • You girls are too much.
  • Hey everyone, I am still alive, and promise to check in more often than I have been. How is everyone doing anyway? I have not been doing very well physically or emotionally lately. A very good friend and I just went our seperate ways after many years. But I am hopefull that someday, she will see what a stupid mistake it all was and get over it, I can not do any more for her than I have , but it is very upsetting none the less.
Anyway, I am determined to get my life back in order, so I will be going back to the gym on Monday If not before that.
