Hey, hey... She did say "It may work for some folks, though, so I can't really say" and "My understanding" and "in my view". I would not classify that as "so mean". JayEll has been successful with Medifast and a very helpful poster about it.
It's cool that you lost 6 in your first week, congratulations! But while there are a million different ways to lose weight, there are also a million different ways to fail (trust me, I know, ha!) I think a heads-up that eating nutritionally devoid cheese puffs isn't part of the carefully calibrated Medifast plan is simple fact. Can you lose weight eating them? Absolutely! Is it an acceptable substitution for Medifast though? No.
That said, if people want to cobble together a collection of standard grocery foods that are low-fat, moderate protein and low-carb, then have at it! I'd recommend a multi-vitamin too though if you're going to go that route
