  • Tammy- I like earth tones too. I am so excited because when we move to Ft Campbell. We are buying a house. I have lived in militaryhousing for so long. I am thrilled I will get to paint the walls!!! LOL

    Tammie
  • Good Morning

I slept in today since my early mornings probably don't agree much with my company...I have a few minutes before everyone starts moving.

Ruth, I hope that opting out of a few things helps your cough move down the road...your baby quilt sounds nice.

Heidi, I hope the oatmeal and tea helped you to feel better. for quiet and uneventful. Great job! I see your scale continues to move!

Cyndi, I hope your injection is uneventful. It sounds like a long day for you.

Mmc, Good job for continuing to set goals!

Twynn, yes, thank goodness for salary-and bedroom painting!

Linda, Glad to hear someone back East has !

Karen, onward! Me, too. I ate unplanned food yesterday with our company and I have a few things on the "toss list"!

Tammie, I don't mind a dull life. Have a good "dull" day!

Pearlrose, nice to see you! Have fun at the soccer tourney!

Me, going to the pool with the company, home for lunch then off for a scenic drive while the guys go fossil hunting. Healthy food planned! I just need to keep my fingers out of the *cr*p* and make a note not to do that again. I can make SBD friendly stuff which they'll enjoy just as much. It's nice out but cold...I'm hoping for a bike ride anyway!

    Have a great day everyone!
  • Snuggling in for the morning with more coffee, two discombobulated dogs and a quilt to finish designing. I just paid my darned taxes so that worry is off my list!
  • I have been soooo off track, it's not even funny. It's actually pretty sad. DW and I sat down and talked a bit about our eating/exercise habits and we're getting back to it!!! Drinking and NYC bagels called out to me this weekend

I am going to do a clean week of Ph1 starting tomorrow. Today is Ph2 though. I need to go food shopping - which we're going to do after the gym tonight. It's "funny" because I got three compliments today on my weight loss when it's TOM and while I noticed the shirt I am wearing today is a bit loose around the belly (finally), I mentally know I've been off plan and just don't *feel* good, you know? Good news is that a size 18 (in most things) in Dress Barn was too big on me but I was too scared to go to a 16 and see that it was too small. I haven't been on a scale in two weeks and I am scared! three more days in April so I guess I have to hop on soon.

Hope you chickies are feeling better/doing well. I'll be around more often this week, promise (or threat depending on how much you like me )!
  • Ruth, so sorry to hear you're still not 100%. I hope it passes quickly! And snow!?!?!? Really? Crazy! Does it usually snow this late in the year where you live?

Heidi & Cottage, It's pouring down rain here too. I can't believe it! I hope we are done with the rain soon so the ground will dry out and I can start my veggie garden!

Cyndi, Oh no, insomnia!?!?! That's awful! I hope your injection goes well today and you get a full nights sleep tonight!

Mmc, Good for you setting (and accomplishing) goals! I need to follow in your foot steps and set some goals (and take them seriously)!!

Twynn, Glad you got a day off yesterday and got your bedroom painted! I need to do some painting too.

Karen, LOVE the new pic!!! Sorry to hear about the snacking. I've never made the snack cake but after reading your posts about it I think maybe I shouldn't.... I tend to easily overindulge in treats that are technically SBD friendly! lol

Tammie, I hope you have a great day!

Pearl, I hope the weather clears up before your DD's soccer tournament!!

Debbie, How cool that the guys are going fossil hunting!! A great recipie that almost all non-SBD'ers love is the almond covered "fried" chicken... but that's just my 2 cents. Have a great time with your company!

Jenn, I'm sorry you've been struggling, but it sounds like you're jumping right back on track! Good for you!!! I'm glad that despite your diet your clothes are still feeling loose! (Maybe you've actually lost a few lbs!?)

I'm off to school in an hour, in the rain. The campus is soooo huge and unfortunately my English and Math classes are across campus from each other... Looks like I'll be spending a lot of time walking back and forth in the rain today. Yuck.

I've really been slacking in the exercise department. I need to get back to it and make sure I sweat EVERYDAY! I have a lot of events planned this summer (and a lot of walking involved) and I'd really like to see some change in not only my body, but also my stamina/endurance. I think I'll start today right after school. (<---- that lil monkey is me, doing squats lol!)

    Have a great day ladies!!!
  • It's actually sunny here. Not real warm, but sunny. I'm loving my day off today. Had to cave in & turn the furnace back on last night. It's been rainy and cool here the last 4-5 days. I've been having "urges" to eat bad, bad things after a splurge last week. After a week of Phase I, I thought I was over it, but while grocery shopping today, I started thinking about crunchy & sweet things again. Got past it by eating a whole can of black beans with some yummy pico de gallo.

I have an employee recognition dinner to go to Thursday night, so that's my next challenge. We usually have steak, shrimp & those little chocolate molten lava cakes. Mmmm, they're so good. I'll try to make my husband eat it. I've worked at my hospital for 35 years, so I'll probably get a nice piece of jewelry or a gift card. DH is still looking for a job. This may take a loooong time the way things look. Son's graduation is coming up in a few weeks, so we're planning a big party for him June.

Hope you all have a great day on the beach!
  • Tammie - I live a dull life too. Sometimes dull is good Can't wait to hear how you liven up your walls!

Debbie - I started to write a blog post about tossing the food and remembered my husband reads it and he would so not approve. He'd hate it if he knew how often I have resorted to that over the yo-yo years! Your day sounds lovely. Enjoy.

Jenn - No NY pizza? I think I may have to join you for at least a few days of PH1 post-vacation. Sigh.

Kelly - Thanks. DH and I rarely both look halfway decent in the same photo. I had avoided that cake until my trip, just as I am avoiding the mock cornbread. That stuff just makes me want to eat too much of it. Your semester is probably pretty close to winding down now. Time flies!

Anne - You held out longer than we did; our heat came on last week. But the temps are heading up again. I have been having urges too. I should have reached for those beans instead of giving in. Sigh.
  • lol @ Karen - No! I didn't even get my pizza!!!! Grrrr
