Thanks for the warning and information. I will be careful with this product, but the one I purchased is different from the Xtreme Thermoslim. I am too sensitive to high caffeine and fat burners, so I was given a milder brand. It does still have the Guarana and Ma Huang, though. I'll check with the nutritionist and find out the biggest differences.

Thanks for the information you gave. I have shown my ignorance. I guess I just got too eager for something to help me lose this weight. The supplement I was given does contain Ma Huang, which is simply another name for Ephedra. I did not know that. It does contain a milder dose than the stronger version of the formula, but could still be dangerous if not watched closely.

I apologize for suggesting something to the group without doing all my research. In the midst of my excitement over 3.5 pounds, I got a little ignorant. Please forgive me. Healthy is better than slim and dead!

I'll speak with my dietician about this to make sure this is the best supplement for me. Thanks again!

I AM SO HAPPY! WHY AM I SHOUTING YOU ASK? lol I did my own version of the 2-day express and weighed in at my center this morning, I lost 4#! I am now down to my lightest weight in 5yrs! I am so happy! I'm gonna take it one meal at a time and stay OP!

How was everyone's weekend?

Joy, I tried Thermo Slim, a couple years ago. I lost 6# on it but then I didn't like the way it didn't make me feel after a while.

KitKat - congrats on your 2 day express. How did you do it? Did you use the Hollywood Diet juice? If so, how much do you use a day? Also, what did you eat each day? I would appreciate your help on this. I think I will try to do it. Was it very hard? Thanks, Liz

Thanks! Yup, I drank the Hollywood diet juice, I had 16oz of juice mix w/ 16oz of water throughout each day. I also, ate 2eggs for breakfast and 2eggs w/ 1c veggie for dinner and 2 LA lite bars. Believe me I wasn't that hunger. Let me know if you try it!

I was happy with that. I was not Op for 2 days though I had a sore throat I am feeling better today though thank goodness.

How's everyone's week going so far? Mines is great! I weigh in tomorrow, hopefully I'll be the same weight as I was on Mon. I'm not expecting any loss, since it's only been a couple days.

Hi everybody!

I had a rough weekend, tried to stay (mostly) on plan, but I just didn't feel like cooking (or eating salad). And then on Sunday night the power went out and stayed out until 6 pm Monday!

Anyway, I finally went in Tuesday for weigh in and I lost 2 lbs! The counselor said that I was on track and was losing steadily just over 2 lbs a week. I know it could be more if I could just stay OP, but maybe if I did I would just get too tired of the diet? Or my metabolism would adjust?

Anyway, I'll keep trying and I'm going to Jack In the Box for lunch! That chicken fajita pita is yummy and not just by diet food standards.

I am back everyone. I am starting back with LA this evening. I have gained a few pounds back and decided to get back on the bandwagon. Originally I had lost 93 lbs. with LA. Had to stop when I had gall bladder surgery. When I was over that I just didn't go back. Thought I could do it on my own. Well....I can't. I need that accountability to keep me on the straight and narrow. Well, I am going back as of this evening. Will keep you posted on how I do. I have been reading the thread and it sounds like everyone is struggling. It is hard but it does work. It does get discouraging too, but as long as you let yourself go thru it, and not sway to bad or even if you do, get back somehow. This is not a race. We have to struggle with this the rest of our lives. Our minds love to tell us, we don't need to diet and tells us to eat that bag of Chips and etc, but look in the mirror when the urge hits or go shopping and try on clothes. That always helped me.
I am not perfect either, as I said i know I have gained some back, but I know that I can lose it as I did it before and I will do it again.

If this was I race I lost along time ago. Your right the program is a good one and tried to it by myself also, this is the third time I am doing LA for some reason this time I had success.

I also had gallbladder surgery this year (Feb.)... good luck with the adjustment. My bowels still aren't quite up to snuff, but it's a lot better than NOT taking the g.b. out. I had never felt such pain as when I had those attacks! I was visiting the local ER every month for unexplained abdominal pain, and for four months they told me it was indigestion. HA!

Then I switched hospitals and they gave me the ultrasound... and out it came! CONGRATS on the weightloss... you've inspired me to get off my butt and hoof it over to the gym as soon as I finish this!

Boy's this week is just flying by! I'm doing pretty good. I haven't strayed at all (thank God!) but I don't think i'll loose any weight this week. Hopefully by Mon I should see a pound gone!

It has been such a hectic week that I have not had time to post. There are only a few weeks left in the semester and it is a race to the finish! I can not wait to make it to the end of this month!!! I have all of August off, then start the fall semester in September. I am debating on whether I should take one class or two. I wish I new if I was going to be working 40 or 60 hour weeks!

I have pretty much been sticking to the plan this week. I had a little bit of sugar sweetened tea, and a handfull of teddi grahams, but other than that, no cheats. I have not been to the center all week, and they have called and left messages. I will go in Saturday as usual. Will they ever get a clue??

Well, I went back. I am on the three day express. I gained about 25 lbs. so that is not good, but I knew I had gained, just didn't want to accept how much. But I am back starting with the 3 day express tomorrow morning.
