  • Funny you should post this because I just decided today that I am going to start weighing only once a week. I'm putting it away and only weighing on Sunday (at least gonna try it out this week haha). Normally though I weigh once a day in the morning.
  • Currently I weigh daily, but I'm thinking about putting it away until after my Valentines challenge is over.

I used to be OCD about it, but I finally took my scale & my measuring tape & put them in the linen closet - out of sight, out of mind. I weigh & measure myself once a week. I like doing it that way. I look forward to Sunday mornings getting to see how I did that week.
Ditto!! I do the exact same thing. I really look forward to seeing that loss at the end of the week and seeing how well I have done. If I weighed everyday I don't think I would be as excited at the end of the week.
  • I hardly ever weigh, I can usually see the differences in my body if I lose any weight. I've found its better for me not to obbsess about it
  • I think there's some merit to weighing yourself everyday- it's easier to pick up if there's a problem. However, a lot of us have weeks when we don't lose anything, and it can be very, very frustrating.
  • I fear the scale... I do it as little as possible.... but the last time i got on it said I lost 4.2 pounds so that eased my fear slightly.
  • I was a once a week person for the longest but then now I weigh everyday, it helps me see what my weight fluctuation/trend is and that will be helpful when I officially start maintenance.
  • I weigh myself daily, I find that it keeps me on track. I expect the fluctuations especially around TOM. It works differently for everyone. If I only weigh once a week or month I put too much pressure on that one day and am unhappy if it's a high day. As long as you don't get obsessed with number I don't think weighing every day is a bad thing.
  • I weigh myself about once a week.
I used to weigh myself everyday, but, depending on what the scale said, I would either be depressed all day (if it was higher than I expected) or happily snacking all day (if I loss a few). This downward spiral continued for months until, one day, my 2 year old son (bless his heart) picked up Mommy's scale and dropped it. It's broken now. It tells me I weigh 120, when that it so obviously not true (but makes me feel glamorous )so I have to weigh myself at my Mom in law's house. I refuse to buy another one, as I dont want to start the cycle again.
Sadly, I did gain for a while when the scale broke.
  • My "official" weigh in is only once a week, but I weigh every other day to see my progress. Seeing progress is great motivation for me.
  • i just bought my very first scale...and i have to admit everytime i see it i think hmmmi should just hop on! but then i am more hesitant to add weight losses to trackers because i know it fluctuates. I'll get on the next day and it is different...soooo its tricky.
