My problem is that my MIL lives with us and although she should be watching what she eats too, she doesn't. She cooks daily and it is usually stuff I am not supposed to eat on SB. I wish I could take the temptation away, but that is unfortunately not possible
I understand. My MIL lives with us, too, and she doesnt want to eat healthy. She wants her meats fried and she wants potatoes with everything. Have you ever smelled pierogies cooking in butter? Oh my....I was salivating! However, my desire to be healthy and slender overides my short term desire to eat a pierogie. This journey is really all about choices.....each little choice adds up to some big changes. Have you asked her not to bring those things into your home?

PS: I've been known to toss out a package of cookies that were brought into MY kitchen.
  • Everyone is giving great advice, I love coming to this website just to read the posts, even if I do not post something. I know that sometimes I will be out and my choice is not very SB oriented, I make take half the bun off or whatever to make some modification and then the rest of the day I will stay on track. I don't do this every day only once in a while, but it has not stopped my weightloss. This is lifelong journey, you are going to make mistakes, we are human, but you get right back up and keep going. I am the only one in my house doing full SB, but I am not even tempted by my kids junk food, I make my own SB friendly desserts for my sweet tooth.
