If it motivates you to exercise any...keep in mind that you can lose "pounds" and dress/pants sizes by diet alone...but ONLY exercise is going to give you a firm, fit body. Diet alone will not get rid of saddlebags, flabby inner thighs, a poochy tummy, and the like. Only exercise will firm you up, and improve your shape.

There are plenty of *thin* women who go out in bikinis...and have flat behinds, saggy bellies, and even though they are a size 6 or 8...are NOT in shape. It makes a HUGE difference.

Default goal 4 me : excercise

You make a GREAT point, Aphil.

I am going to slowly start excercising until I get used to it. I will record that in my FitDay as well so that I have a record of how much I am doing and seeing the progress I make will motivate me as well.

(Good point about "thin" people that are not "tight/firm")

Thanks!

D2S!! Another pound lost - and 2 days of pretty danged clean looking FitDay entries. You go, girl!

I'm with Aphil on the exercise - start with the easy stuff - go for a walk! It doesn't have to be a kick *** workout to start with...IMHO most people who try to start too much at the beginning put themselves in a lot of pain. Not much incentive to conitinue when you can't move the next day. Find something that gets you moving that you enjoy...the goal is to build healthy habits to last a lifetime.

Take care of yourself - you'll be happy you did. Oh yeah...one more thing...I'm a little worried you aren't eating enough...your cals shouldn't go below 1200 a day. I'm hoping maybe you just forgot to log dinner?

Anyhoo - kudos on cutting out the alcohol!

Yah your fitday looks much better... good for you! I do agree with Gina, however; I too hope you are just forgetting to log dinner as otherwise your calories are way too low. I know you want to get rid of the weight... we all do tee hee... but please be healthy about it.

I do want to commend you on not becoming "offended" at the straightforward advice given but rather trying to TAKE it and make needed improvements. LOL none of us really like to be told we need to make changes but it is the WISE ones who ask for advice when we need it and are not "afraid" to take it!! Good for you!

Just looked at your fitday and while you have cleaned things up, are you really eating 500-700 calories some days?

That isn't really what we meant by "eat clean and healthy" -- you aren't giving your body enough nutrients and ingredients to work with. As Aphil might say, it's like filling your car halfway and expecting it to go as far as it would on a full tank of gas.

If you really are determined, please please educate yourself on how to lose weight AND be healthy. Severe restrictions often result in bingeing, gaining weight, and giving up. Lots of people gain 100s of pounds by dieting on such low cal diets -- not because of the restriction but because of the REBOUND. Unless you are supervised by a physician and getting in enough nutrients, this is a dangerous approach!

One more thing, if you want more accurate readings on your Fitday, put in quite a few more custom foods. Fitday and what you're really eating can be WAY different.
