Hello
Well, I finally decided to introduce myself. I feel like I know all of you already and so many of you have inspired me soooo much these last few months.
To start I have lost weight too many times to count....I've been on Atkins and Sugar Busters before with great results but always regained the weight. Life and events would happen and I would resume my old ways of eating.
This time I made up my mind that it was going to be different and MY WAY!
I started walking the first of January because we had some warm days and I told myself it was a START. Then, I started to think about the food choices/ portions. At first I just cut back and started to read labels. I kind of calorie count but not too seriously. I didn't do anything that I knew I wouldn't keep doing for the rest of my life. I added more and more days per week of walking. The time also increased. I started drinking more water......and here I am. It's been VERY VERY slow. But I've have learned so much about myself.
My mother (now deceased) always had problems with her weight and bad eating habits. I loved her so but do not want to pass on the same habits to my girls.
