you know i am not sure how they make it at Chacho's

but typically here in Texas if you say Green Rice, its the Green Rice casserole with white rice, broccoli and melted cheese then baked...yes FATTENING.

however at Chacho's its like white rice, but its green...kinda spinchy...i figure since its green its better than the spanish rice? I only had like um 1/2 cup of it maybe.

agreed.

even though being "coonass" i was raised on white (hence my weight issues since birth), but the last year or more i turned to brown rice.

i make it with the beef or chicken broth instead of water...add all sorts of spices including cayenne pepper...and it satisfies me!!

about every couple of months i will make a pot of white rice as a treat!!

I like to cook my chicken breasts or pork chops in cream of mushroom soup and put it on top of nice WHITE rice... very good. But the soup is high in fat.
