I'm finally getting around to checking in. It's such a beautiful day here that after Curves I sat out on the sunporch enjoying my breakfast and the sunshine.

Beachbum ~ I must have missed your post RE your DH. I pray everything goes well for both of you.

Mamahulk, and the rest of you who gave me words of encouragement yesterday, Thank you. Mama, I especially liked what you said, "we just keep going". I know we've all been there, but it's hard to work so hard and not see results. I guess sooner or later it's going to happen, but these plateaus are NOT fun.
I'm picking up Maggie early from her nursery school, and we're going over to Audrey's school to watch her in 'Jump Rope for your Heart" fundraiser, then we're going out to lunch, the library, and the park. TGIF!

jana - I know I remember a post from a long time ago where someone talked about Pizzeria Uno and they had something that was OP. Hopefully you can find a menu.

mama - Sometimes I go to Primacare just so I don't have to miss work. It costs me more but it is worth it.

Debbie - Your friend has my prayers.

pear - Good luck with your BF. We know how much you love animals. It shows in everything you write.

MsCrockett - Good luck on the test.

beach bum - Your DH is in my prayers too. This must be so hard for you right now.

Kelly - Have a great weekend!

sarah - I love to camp and Kiko is right about it being good weather for it here. Of course, I do my camping with 30 cub scouts so it isn't exactly quiet and relaxing.

ckb - I love the 3 bean salad for a cooler. You can also get those packets of Crab or Shrimp or chicken to have with it. Hardboiled eggs work too if you can keep them cold.

Schatzi - Have fun at Curves

Hoosiermom - Happy anniversary! My DH and I have our 10th next week and I don't think we will be going out for dinner (it's that lack of a babysitter thing) but I work from home that day and THINK I can get away long enough to go out to lunch. If not, I'll have DH go out somewhere nice and bring takeout home.

Kiko - Morning! I loved those appointments with Brian. And our ped is so good with kids!

Hi, cottage!

me - I did good avoiding the food at Roundtable last night. They had wonderful looking chocolate cookies but I just kept remembering that I had given up chocolate for Lent. They had pizza but it didn't look that good and I had already had my Sloppy Joes, 3 bean salad and deviled eggs for dinner so I wasn't tempted. I did have a very small piece of lemon cake but that is a lot better than I could have done. I'm trying a new recipe with scallops tonight for dinner. It sounds good and I can keep the pasta separate for Brian (since he doesn't eat scallops).

Ladies-Thanks for your prayers, and being such good friends. Hope you can forgive me as I haven't had time to read your post but will over the weekend.

Good morning chicks. Haven't been around this week--horrid sotmach virus for 3 days, but at least I have lost 5 lbs. Feeling almost 100% today so hoping to get to Curves this afternoon and maybe quish in a walk. It's unusually warm here on Long Island today and I am looking forward to come fresh air. Then just some work today and over the weekend and some family time. Getting back to being beachy today after not being OP because of the sickness this week. Glad to be feeling normal again. Hope everyone has a great day.
Beach Bum--glad all is better with your hubby . I missed everything while I was gone. Hope all continues to go well.

Good Morning Chickies,
Well I ate right on track yesterday but did not put in a workout or get near enough water. I think I need to break my weekly behavior goal into seperate goals focusing on one each week, I never seem to hit all three...
Today I have to work my at home job then do an article this evening for the paper. I have absolutely nothing to do after that. I need to get a workout in (doesn't this sounds like a doppleganger of yesterdays post)... On the upside hubby is down another half pound and doing great!

JanaM - not much up over here just trying to get things done...

mamahulk - I hope you get to feeling better

Debbie - what a great mom, I am sure your son will love it, I will keep that woman in my thoughts.

pear - just take their criticism with a grain of salt chica, after all there is no IQ test to get an internet connection, you could be arguing with a 10 yr old boy in Argentina for all you know...I too get ticked when people argue about things without knowing the facts.

sarah - sounds like you are coming out of your slump hun? I think some good old fashioned nature is just what the doctor ordered, have fun!

ckb - When I am on the go I bring the south beach or special k bars...

schatzi - We are opposites, I keep falling off the eating wagon...

HoosierMom - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! My Dh and I are going to have out one year annivesary next month...congrats on making it 5 years, I say celebrate!

Kiko - Get that exercise done early girl...at least that is what people say...mine has been lacking lately

cottage - sounds like you will be out in the beautiful outdoors all day, have fun.

Barb - Great job with the damage control last night...

Beach - that is great news!

soon - sounds like you are a busy bee today. I remembered what I was going to talk to you about - concealer!

lindy - welcome back! I am glad you are feeling better, I think stomach virus's are the worst type of sick you can be.

OK good news and bad news:

The good news is that it was the best interview I've ever had in my life. The DM absolutely loved me, was "thoroughly impressed" by me, and thought I was the perfect candidate for the position.

The bad news is that the position isn't for here, it's for Champaign, which is an hour and a half away. I think the DM and I both left the interview sad. He is setting up a 2nd interview just because, but unless one of the Springfield stores loses a Store Director, I'm out of luck there. The pay was going to be decent, so I'm pretty bummed. After talking with the guy, he totally dug me and I really liked him and I think we would have worked together well.

So, maybe that was just a really good practice for a future interview? Motherhood just has to check my references and then call me about setting up an interview with their Regional Manager. I haven't heard anything but I'll call the DM on Monday. I guess we'll just have to see what happens. Hopefully Motherhood will pay as well if not better than Hollywood.

More praying. What will be will be. Deep breaths. I'm almost out of here, I can just FEEL IT!!!!

DH put in his two weeks today. He's getting out of manual labor and back into the medical field, which is what he got a degree for. He's going to be a phlebotomist II and lab assistant. The pay will be just about the same, but he'll be so much happier, which means he'll be more pleasant to be around.

Well, it's Grandparents' Day here at the school so I'm a little bit crazed. Yargh, and such.

So.... how are you all? Everyone excited for the weekend? I'm excited because the only work I have to do is teach one piano lesson Sunday evening. WOO HOO! Of course, tomorrow I need to go tanning, bake cupcakes, go to a party, work out, clean house, etc, but it's going to be a nice change from standing and preparing food for 300 people like last weekend.

Oh! Wish me luck.... I have given up chewing my nails for this wedding. It's a really hard habit to break, but I have two weeks (incidentally the dresses still aren't in yet) and I don't want to do the fake nail thing because I really hate wearing fake nails. I'm hoping my nails will grow to a nice length in time for the wedding on the 25th.

OK, almost time to serve pizza. Gotta run! Talk to you all soon!

Hello, Happy Friday!
I ate well yesterday although I think I ate too much. Too many sunflower seeds, I'm glad they're all gone. I had a busy morning but I got my workout in (Tae Bo's Cardio Bootcamp) and I just sat down to my tuna over a big salad. I'm stuffed.

MsCrockett, good luck on the math. I can barely help my DD with her 5th grade math. Pretty sad.

Beach Bum - that's great that your DH has been released!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Hoosiermom! Enjoy your night out!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Ok ladies...I need to get to the gym today. My good eating has rewarded me with some loss even though I have not been working out. But I do not know how long I can keep eating healthly lol...I need to find a blanace between working out and eating so as not to become a slave to either. So DH has to work tonight and I am going to drag my behind to the gym and put in as much Cardio as I can...wish me luck!

Weezle - I worked for Hollywood they are a good company and the free movies aren't bad either! Too bad about it being so far away. But at least you are getting interviews...thats usually the hard part. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

muffin - I need to learn to be like you and get my workut in early...

batmomm - they work you hard! I worked in a gym and saw numerous people who puked during the 'free session' with a personal trainer.

cbk - I have not tried them...The SB pizza's are good but those are not exactly on the go. How about you buy the ingrediants to make your own SB wraps...probably would be about the same amount of money but you could make more than one...

Beachbum ~ That's Great news about your DH! I hope everything continues to go well with him.

Weezle ~ What a letdown, but you sound pretty upbeat, anyway. Que sera, sera, and maybe God has something much better in store for you! I'm glad things have worked out for Terry.

ckb ~ I have used those SB wraps in emergencies, and they're pretty good. They are high in sodium, though, so Beware. They aren't something you would want to have on a regular basis because of all the added ingredients in them, even if they are SB.

Soon ~ I get the biggest kick out of your experiences at Curves! I've been telling the people at mine about yours, and we all get to giggling that we can hardly do our workouts!

We had a great day today, the weather was (and still is) gorgeous, and when I got home, Jake was all ready to take me out to dinner! I had grilled tilapia with a black bean salsa and a vegetable medley, but then I ordered a "Maple Butter Blondie" for dessert.
