I dont think you would have a problem. The bouncing is a lot smoother than you would think. I think on the website it says it may move a few inches if you have it on a hardwood floor because the vibration. But I dont think it would be enough to make things in your house jiggle. Luckily, I have mine in the den, its carpeted so it doesnt go anywhere. I will tell you this... its not as easy as it looks.

Rebounding's very good for lymphatic drainage too, I gather. And the lymph's job is to get rid of toxins. We certainly don't want those, do we??

Mine is on carpeting and the only thing that jiggles is my fat.......it's got springs and is very stable.

I don't use any of the tapes, but prefer good old dance-rock music.

I wish my fat was stable (in a non jiggling sort of way).

Sorry I couldn't resist.

Default My calves hurt when I jump!

Hi everyone,
I have an Urban Rebounder, just ordered it a couple of weeks ago, and have not been able to do too very long, maybe 10 minutes at a time. I have to quit cause my calves end up hurting pretty much. Do any of you other's have that problem? Maybe I am not used to using that part of my legs. Is that right? Let me know if this is normal and is there hope to keep on doing this because I really like the whole comcept of the Rebounder.

Hi,
I've been rebounding for about 9 mos. Not tired of it yet. I do remember my calves bothering me for a few days. However, I really remember my shins hurting too. I just made sure I did a little stretching before I start. If I've skipped three or four days (was on vacation) I do notice I have some discomfort. It will subside!

If your calves hurt be sure to stretch your achilles tendons before and after...10 mins. is really good to start with...I do mine in interval parts mixed with weight sets. in between. I like to be able to do high leg-lifts as it works the lower part of the abdominal muscle and those ever-present glutes.....I have to be sure to wear a strong sports bra (the girls don't need the bounce) and use the bathroom first.

Thanks guys so much for the answers to my question. I will stretch before and after as well. marbleflys, I remember you from our Thin Group. How are you doing? Come back and post again, miss you. You were really great to have around. It sounds like you are doing well. My kitties all love to lay on my Rebounder too. It is funny, they get on it, but don't lose any weight. LOL And a couple of them could use the exercise too.

Take care and Darl2541 thanks to you as well. Sassy Sharon

You all have convinced me to get a rebounder for my winter workouts when there is ice on the roads.

I am searching on the web and there are somany different rebounders. I read some negative reviews aboutt he construction of the Urban Rebounder. I have no idea wht to believe now. Do you all have Urban Rebounders or other brands? What do you think of the quality? What is the weight limit? How much was it? Many websites would have you believe you need to spend a lot of money for a good quality one. Do you find this? I am hoping to walk away under 150.00.

I havent had any problems with my urban rebounder. I did buy the gym quality one though. I doesnt fold so I assume that would make it a little more stable. The other reason I bought the gym model is because of my weight. I didnt want to feel like I was gonna get on it and hit the floor. So far so good!!! Good luck on your purchase.

I'm very happy with my Urban Rebounder I purchased through HSN in March of this year, no problems at all. It was about $150.00 including delivery and came with the stabilizer bar and 2 DVDs. It is VERY sturdy and would easily support 300#. I really need the stabilizer bar to help my balance and when I'm working hard I don't worry about losing control and injuring myself...but I'm a true klutz

It folds but not easily (think of an animal trap that would cut your leg off) so I just leave it up...but the legs will fold in so you could slip it under the bed.

The cheapy ones with elastic aren't worth it (IMHO) as it jarred my back and created great pain.

I just started using a mini trampoline and I really want to recomend to you other newbies to get a really good sports bra. I just got one that changed my life- the girls stay in place and I can jump for a lot longer.
