Afternoon everyone! I am doing well today so far. I've stuck to my menu, and have already had 40 oz of water.

For my trip, I'm packing oatmeal and fruit, and I got some light string cheese and some of those 100 calorie cracker bags that I'll use points for.

I have an open house thing to go to tonight, where I'm sure will be all kinds of yummy treats. I'm going to eat something Core before I go, and just tell myself nothing non-Core will pass my lips.

Great job so far everyone!

Angela

frouf, you're doing great. omohod (isn't that what they say?) did you see the core granola recipe i posted over in breakfasts? it's pretty good. i got mine really sweet with splenda. this granola added a lot of crunch to my pudding. now, it's about time to cook dinner. i feel like i've been eating all day. it's been core, though, so i guess that's all right.

Well ladies I guess I did alright today. I used 5 wpas, which isn't too bad. But I need to save them b/c we have that dinner interview shindig on Thursday and I have no idea what they will be serving. I'm assuming that it will be potluck, so who knows. I'll have no control and since I need to make everyone like me, I will feel compelled to eat everything there. Any suggestions?
I am going to try to up my veggie and fruit intake tomorrow, as well as water. Sometimes I think I do better when I am at work. Who knows.
Tried a new recipe tonight that was good. Even have enough LO for lunch tomorrow!! I need to cook like that more often! Can you believe it has taken me that long to catch on to that?

Ok Sandra, its up! I hope you like it. I thought that it was pretty good, and made a lot. Plenty for a couple of lunches too (and we eat a lot)!

Hey ladies!

I am just now reading this post. I really want to be "in". I have been off core for the past few days (hmm, most of last week I think). I missed my WW'er weigh in Saturday due to unchangable plans, so I would really like to get back on track and hopefully maintain or lose by this Saturday.

I didn't do so well, used my WPAs for yesterday AND today AND maybe tomorrow too ... but I have all my food lined up for today. Now, if I can just stay focused!! I was back down to 152 on my scale this morning, which is approx. where I was before my big Saturday morning scare!

I ate all Core at the BBQ yesterday with the exception of some Smart Balance but I ate way too much food. Can't exercise today. My foot and both knees hurt. Must be from getting up and down off the floor with my Great Nephew to whom I can NEVER say no. He's almost 2 and likes his Auntie to sit on the floor and play cars with him. Adorable! He comes over and sidles up to me and says "sit" and points to the floor while holding a car in his hand. Who could say no? Anyway, I'll be walking alot around Walmart. That will have to be enough today.

Good luck to everyone else!

Default Master of....

I had visions last night of the great Seinfeld episode "Master of my domain". That's what this little challenge of ours has become in my own feeble mind.

Do we have the self-control necessary to not satisfy ourselves at every whim?

After last night - I feel that I am the Cosmo Kramer of this challenge. "I'M OUT"

Not quite - but I did use up my points for a couple of days; as I could not resist the lovely salmon sandwiches that were available after our tennis match last night. Bread is my big addiction; that I seem so close to breaking the habit on; and then, every once in a while...there's a relapse

Oh well - today is a new day; and I will be off to the gym after work; and I have been totally core so far today !

Glad you're back on track Caroline! I feel like I am TRYING so hard this time, when weeks/months ago I found it so much easier? What's up with that?

I find coming home is the worst time for me and I need to put on my Core armour to protect myself from eating what I want to eat, not necessarily what I should eat!

I have ready to go either lean hamburgers (fast and easy to broil) or some marinated turkey kebabs (have not tried these yet!) or some salmon (but want to marinate that overnight so won't eat that today!). I will try the old "chewing gum" trick and keep my mouth moving while I prepare dinner.

I am already hungry now (3:45 pm) so will eat an apple or something before I go home. I am already salivating for the burgs with couscous and veggies on the side? (going to add some salsa to the couscous to make it extra yummy!). Then of course I quickly grab and pack up some leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

Thank goodness I found those sf/lf fudge bars (have you ever tried the Smart Scoop lf fudge bars, made w/splenda - very, very EXCELLENT and creamy good). Feels like I am having an amazing treat esp as summer is approaching and everyone is eating ice cream treats!

Also did my great walk today - about 45 mins so I really, really DON'T want to sabotage my good efforts by pigging out....right?

caroline, bread is one of my addictions, too. since moving to montana, i am bombarded with all kinds of fantastic breads to choose from. i don't know if they weren't available in texas or i if i just didn't notice them. i'm thinking colder climates tend to call for heartier breads. what kind of salmon sandwich did you get? i've never heard of a salmon sandwich and am curious.

frouf, i have a gf who eats sf popsicles. have you seen any of those? i think they are 10 calories each or maybe 8 cicles for 1 pt.
