2frustrated - you look like a size 12, trust me!

I'm also 11st 12 (started off in July at almost 14 stone), and now I'm size 12 top half, 14 bottom half - sometimes even 12 depending on what it is. (Never jeans, though! Why does the size your measurements say you are never fit?!?)

And so the same weight as you... but I'm sure I don't look as slim as you!

Your post struck a chord with me as I'm wondering if I haven't got some serious body dysmorphia going on, now... I also still feel fat. My BMI will be *normal* at 11 stone 1 - so still best part of a stone to go. Yet I guess I look pretty average now - although the scales say I'm overweight, and I feel overweight....

Just curious... how tall are you? I'm five foot 6. Recently I've bought some new clothes and not tried them on first and got things too big for me - it's odd how you perceive yourself when you're used to being very overweight, then aren't anymore...

But I know exactly what you mean. Until the scales and BMI are *normal* I won't feel right - even though I'm already a 12. What's that about?

Hello Phat!

I'm 5'8", just got another 3lbs to go to be "normal"!

I understand about the body dysmorphia thing too! I think because you're relatively "new" to being 11 stone something, it takes a while for your brain to catch up. I've hovered around 12 stone for a whole year now but I think I'm getting used to my new body!

I think also the reason I'm looking quite slim in that photo is a do a lot of weight training and kickboxing that builds muscle and generally tightens everything, so perhaps that's why?

I also agree with the measurements and sizes! I don't think they take into account my big thighs!
