Hello ladies!!!

My kids are back in school today too. I have mixed feelings on it. It was a rough summer trying to keep the kids from getting too bored but now it's back to helping with tons of homework. You wouldn't believe how much homework they give 1st and 2nd graders. Last year my oldest was in 1st and they gave him book reports and spelling words like precipitation and environment. Todd, my oldest has attention deficit disorder and has been really trying hard to do well in school. He's been reading chapter books for a while now yet they still say he's behind on his reading. I think the standards of learning at his school are really high. He's such a smart kid and yet they still says he's a little behind. He promised me this year he was going to try even harder. He's such a good kid.

For some reason I seemed to have plateaued at 168. I've been very strict these 2 weeks on phase one and I'm happy with the 7 lbs I lost, but why haven't I lost any in the last 5 days? I'm staying on phase 1 for at least another week. I gotta make my 10 lb goal this month!!! I can do it!!!!

Good morning chicks.

Not much time today, got off to a late start after an early meeting. So hello to those ahead and those to come!

I did okay this weekend. Tons of exercise as a bike ride that I expected to be 2 miles turned out to be 5! Bry and I got out for a bit yesterday to play some tennis and then I took the dachshund (Zoe) for a walk. I did eat a few ears of corn on the cob this weekend as it is season. Seafood on Friday, yum! Yesterday we did a chicken BBQ at a friends house. They had some relatives up from Florida. They happened to love fresh NY sweet corn! Otherwise my weekend was very OP. Congratulations to all you ladies who did well this weekend!

This morning I got up at 7 (woo hoo!) and did yoga, stability ball, AND 30 minutes on the treadmill. It felt really good to get back into my stretches and the mill wasn't THAT bad....

Took Bryon to one of my old favorite bakeries this morning for donuts (for him of course). Didn't crack then either! Got into work on time, but forgot I had an outside meeting. Grabbed boxes and ran out the door to heavy boxes to fit into my little escort. Got them all, but wheew! what a workout! Neat stuff though, really neat.

That's my morning. The rest of the day looks to be crazy between trying to catch up from last week and get ready for this one!

Jenn, I know you can stay OP! Darn gym! Isn't that irritating! Can you walk to work? If so, maybe then you can get your exercise in and get to work earlier than waiting for the bus? Either way, I know you'll succeed!
Thanks Laurie -- no I must take the bus to the Metro and there are no sidewalks to get to the Metro -- trying to walk it is dangeros and would take longer than the bus! So far so good today so here's to an OP day (I've drank so much water, the tuna I had for lunch is mistaking my stomach for the sea! )

Jenne -- I did find the sunflower seeds on the list on prevention.com -- yay!

So, I made it through lunch -- had a salad and I brought my celery with hummus for my afternoon snack. So far so good on the fist day. I am planning on grilled chicken breasts for dinner.

Just thought I'd check in!

Good morning everyone,

I finally made it here to post today. I guess it is better late than never. Like Laurie, I'm up to the eyeballs with everything that is happening with the start of a year on campus. Hopefully, it will settle down in the next week or two. I am really looking forward to some peace and rest. Just back to the same old problems like bomb threats, pot smoking students, break ins, car thefts...you get the idea.

It is not longer any rest at home, either. DS's girlfriend and he were on vacation, but arrived back home yesterday. I have been saying the following mantra for the past 2 weeks, "I will not let anything upset me, I will not let anything upset me..." It started out well, but it only took her about 2 hours to get under my skin. I guess the holiday at home is over, too. AND the sink is full of dishes...

I managed to stay OP all weekend and treated myself to pizza last night. Of course, it was homemade WW thin crust pizza with SBD toppings. Yummy. However, I cannot handle starch, so keep it as a special treat on rare occassions. Everyone else enjoyed the pizzas, so I will need to make more later.

Well, gotta run. DH asked a friend from work over for supper tomorrow night. Must go and get the food made and tabel set so that I am not stressed out tomorrow. Have a great OP day tomorrow. Take care.

Hi Chicks,
I read your Tuesday posts and want to congratulate all of you for making it through the holiday weekend and embracing this morning. You are all so inspiring to me. I went off program this weekend, but am back on this morning. Sometimes I go off on purpose and do not have any guilt about it. I think that I need the break. I gained a few pounds, but I know that they will come off soon. I have a sweet tooth that doesn't quit, so South Beach is the plan for me!
Have a great Wednesday. I'll chat tomorrow evening. I'm a night owl.
