Morning!

Ruth Good luck with the writing!! I am impressed with all of your cooking! The things we will do to avoid what really needs to be done, eh?

Not much to report- okay eating day yesterday. I did have a small piece of bread with dinner and a bite of pie that my mom made. YUM! I could have eaten the whole piece WITH the ice cream, but held it to one small bite. She made the Balsamic Chicken from the blue SB book. It is really quite good. I made the Frisee Salad with Blue Cheese and Walnuts that Laurie recommended the other day. Very tasty, indeed!

I am stalled with my weight loss- I think I may alternate days of Phase 1 and 2. I KNOW I need to get my butt exercising, I haven't felt like it. My body feels sore due to LACK of exercise. I had that I can go through periods of such motivation and then lose it......

Have a great day all! I will report back later with a nice brisk walk!

Barb, you're smart to get the back-to-school stuff early.

Cottage, welcome back! Sounds like you're having a great summer!! And you're maintaining... good for you, girl!!
I'm actually really enjoying this weather now that I've adjusted to it. My DH calls me his Fall girl. Autumn is really my favourite time of year... windy and cool.

mkuhn72701, congratulations on the 3 pounds!

Apryl, you're doing great. I did move your bio to the bio thread in the FAQ... I hope that's okay with you.

Karen, when you've finished cleaning your house and doing the laundry, please head over this way.
I am so with you re: the payday thing. Sometimes, even the kids say, "How many more days until payday?" Housebound is RIGHT!!

Jess, have a wonderful vacation, sweetie!!

Jenn, take good care of that cold, hon. Remember... once your appetite comes back, DON'T go hogwild!! And don't work out too hard.

Mamacita, your Aunt is a retired vampire!? Please... tell us more!!
How was dinner with your DD?

Weezle, do you by any chance drink coffee while you're sitting in that chair?

RNMom, try to stay OP while your kids are home, huh?

Ruth, we missed you at breakfast yesterday. Gotcha a little souveneir (souvineir? souveneer? souvineer?) which I'll pop in the mail. No, you can't eat it.

I wish I were rich... I'd go to a fat farm for a month. If I were REALLY rich, I'd take all of you with me. Why hasn't anyone here won the lottery? Maybe if we all start buying tickets, we can do it. (someone will have to buy mine for me, because I'm too proud to buy the things.)
Every morning I get up all raring to go diet-wise, and by mid-afternoon it's over. The eating doesn't stop.

There was some dope-head at the gym yesterday. He was pushing some guys around in the "big-boy-gym", being really aggressive, and making racist comments. The staff persons who came up to deal with the situation were being far too whimpy, so I told them I was going down to the desk to ask that he be removed. Which finally prompted them to call the cops.
When the (white) druggie discovered that it was me trying to have him removed, he said, "I'm a Canadian! Those guys (referring to some of the other young men in the gym) weren't even BORN here!" Boy, did I jump on him for that! I said, "How do YOU know they weren't born here! Because they're not sickly white like you and I?! I'll have you know that I wasn't born here!!" Little racist prick. Who raised this kid!?

No, I'm not a coffee drinker! I just sit here with a bottle of water. Terry doesn't drink coffee either. I don't know what's up with the chair. It helps, though!

Well, I'm verrryyyy sloowwwlllyyy creeping along with the weight loss. I started Ph2 two days ago (mom got me some wheat tortillas) and I've lost a pound. Total of 13 so far, and it will be 1 month tomorrow. This week, since I have NOTHING to do, I'm going to exercise a lot and see if I can whip my butt into shape, and get on a routine so I keep doing it daily.

The idea for chips that I had works out very well. I mixed up some cheese and salsa and made a tiny little dip for my 8 chips sprinkled with a little salt and southwestern seasoning. Yesterday, I took a tortilla and put boca meat, cheese, a little hot sauce, and a little ranch dressing and had a taco (oh boy was it good!) I've lost a pound since I started eating a tortilla/day, so maybe I'll keep losing. I don't know. I put a goal weight on the calander (goal being 2 lbs lost/week) and I have to be 141 by tomorrow. 1 more measly pound! I'm hoping to chug (yarf) water all day today, and then work out some, and hopefully I'll meet my goal!

Have a fabulous day everyone! <------decaf green tea.

Hey all, I wanted to note my progress on SBD which is very surprising to me. I have lost 10 lbs since I started and I still have 4 days left for phase 1. I didn't expect to lose quite so much weight because I had already been dieting/lost weight when I started. I am doing well and actually enjoying the experience even though it does require a bit more planning on my part rather than saying "oh well if I don't have time to make something, I'll use a meal replacement".

Yesterday I went to Borders and bought an Indian cookbook and a lot of the recipes already look sbd friendly. I am going to try them and as I do, I'll be sure to post them on the recipe boards.

Hi hi hi!

Yes I was very hungover and dehydrated. Weighed this morning (after NOT going hogwild Ellis!!!) and was at 193. Which is down from the 199 at the beginning of the week (bloat much?)

I didn't work out yesterday as I really do have a cold and not just a hangover. Going to take out the garbage, hand in my rent late (who knew it was August 8th!) and then to the gym. If I can get there...I need to but am really feeling crappy!

Happy Sunday!

Hey chickies home from the family week end camping trip. It was nice to see my brother, sister and all the kids plus my mom had a great time with her 5 granddaughters and my dd's friend. It did however rain the entire week-end till this morning around 9 when we were packing up the tents and the sun came out. I have been doing laundry since I have got home everything was wet. Well I must go dh is just pulling in the driveway and I have no idea what we are having for supper.
