Well, just finished the birthday party for a co-worker. I made the cheesecake on the recipe thread. Woohoo!!!! Koodos to whoever invented that little dish. It was wonderful. 3 out of the 6 of us who came to work today are on SBD, Phase 2, so the cheesecake, dressed up with berries was perfect and so tastie.

The birthday girl is also on SBD, so it was a bonus for her. Her husband is diabetic and she was saying that it would be something that he would also enjoy. Thanks so much to the person who posted. You are tops on my list.

As far as puppy problems - yes, scooting on the behind is a sign that there may be anal gland problems. Scooting could be other kinds of problems also - it is not exclusive to anal glands but quite common. My 'puppy' didn't scoot because she doesn't have full motion from her knee surgery, so she isn't able to do that. However, I did notice that, on Friday, she ran into her kennel and was fussing trying to lick herself. I should have picked up on it, but didn't since she had never had the problem before. She couldn't reach the area, so the problem was a bit out of control before I noticed it.

From food to poop. Quite a range of topic here. I guess they both have two Os.

Hey Ruth, do check out that book. It is great for grown ups. She writes mythically, but kids love it (although maybe older than seven? I think I was around ten or eleven when I found her work). In book one a young wizard gets in to a show-off type fight with a school mate and ends up releasing 'his' shadow, which then pursues him though the land for years. In the end he turns and faces it. In book two there is a girl who lives in a laberynth (sp?) with priestesses, serving the 'old ones'. There is cruelty. She breaks free. In the third book a woman who has firey hair and seemingly magic powers points towards how to still the dragons.....you have to call them by their true names. In book four a woman hammers on the door of the (male only) wizard school and demands to be let in........she is but she is kept in the glade of the master patterner (who sees how things are) and she has red hair and a firey nature...book five. Well, you can read book five.

They are fab, fab fab. I read them as a child and thought they were wonderful, but as an adult I have understood why.

xx
