I am new to this thread-alcohol is a big obstacle for me too, especially in this heat and being social on the weekends! I am still in maintenance but struggle (obsess) with it everyday!

Good morning, ladies! Weigh in was good - down 1.2 - but not my goal, which was at least 2 lbs this week, which is why I dragged myself to the gym three times in one week (not a lot for normal people, but with my injuries in the last two years, this was a big achievement). I really had hoped for more as a result. It's hard not to be discouraged. I wish I was more resilient - I know why I eventually always stop weighing myself when I am on a diet (and then totally fall off the wagon again and again) - it's because I get to caught up in the scale movement. I slept terribly last night because I was anxious about the weigh in. It's an ongoing cycle.

Amber, I haven't had the experience you describe yet on WW, I think, because this is my first time and I've only been doing it since Feb, with a goal of getting to this wedding in late August. I am a bit worried about how I will react when I get back from that wedding, quite honestly. I hope you are feeling better today!

Ok, the crickets on this thread have me feeling lonely

Anyone out there?

TOM just arrived and I have a weigh-in tomorrow, trying to decide if it's even worth doing since I know it will be disappointing!

Hi elaineindc ... I decided to take a break from WW and not renew my Monthly Pass... I was really becoming burned out on counting points... I decided to try Ideal Protein... did that for a couple of weeks and just could not get myself motivated... I guess after being at this for over 14 months really hardcore and losing over 60lbs... I just was DONE!

I did manage to get down to 158 lbs for like a hot second... But now I'm back up to around 165... Which all in all isn't too bad considering I've pretty much been eating what I want and not counting calories or tracking or anything like that... But I do feel I need to pull in the reins, so to speak before I start to undo all my hard work... So I've been trying to start tracking again... That old "If You Bite It... Write It!"... Lol... But hey, it works...

Glad to see you're still sticking with it... Hope all is well...

Hi Tripswitch! I totally understand your situation, it's tedious to count all the time. I know that when I stop counting, though, it's going to creep. Yesterday I was brave and weighed in despite TOM - up 0.2, which is no surprise. Hoping for a whoosh next Friday, but haven't had one of those in months. I had hoped I could lose 8-10 lbs per month on WW. That was true at the beginning, but not so much anymore. I never use all of my weeklies, but I use some of them. If I could just have one week without using any, I can imagine I'd see some major results. But this summer is just too social!

Curious about your impressions of IP. I have a friend on it, he lost 30 lbs, but I can't imagine it's sustainable.

Hi you guys I'm into my second week of WW (doing it online but contacting my local leader by email) and have lost 1.5lbs so far on this plan and 7lbs prior on my own. Hoping for another 1.5 at least this week so I can add another mousie to my 5lbs count. Nice to meet you all!

Good morning!
So it feels like I've had a binge for the last few days. Just too many event night dinners. I don't think I've gone over my weeklies, and will be strict for the next two days, but I will be shocked if I don't see a gain on Friday, despite TOM's reckoning on my weigh in last week. I have a big party on Saturday night and was hoping to have a transformation moment with my outfit, but maybe not. Sigh. I'm whitening my teeth this week, lol, maybe that will make my face look thinner

Ok so im back! I think I have worked through my VERY BAD struggle the last month. Ive been staying within my points since Sunday which is the longest amount of days in a row in a while, which is sad but true lol But feeling a lot better the last few days and just happier. I have got to stick with this and get this weight off im just ready. I know I will probably hit another or few bumps in the road but just gotta work through them!

Can anyone recommend home work out tapes? I feel like everytime I buy one (even the biggest loser) its so fast paced that I cant keep up and get frustrated and just turn it off. I need some new age little bit faster paced Richard Simmons LOL!

So glad you're back, Amber! I don't know if I have a good rec - I have always liked the Jillian Michaels yoga tapes because it's more than just stretching and you can kind of adjust for your own fitness level. Beyond that, I'm just walking walking walking these days.

I totally forgot about the walking videos, Amber - I have some of them, too! She's pretty good, if you can get past how cheerful she always is

Weighed in this morning and down 2.4! That makes up for my 0.2 gain last week due to TOM. I am pretty happy since this also happened during a pretty busy social time with lots of dinners out. I think it really shows how much water weight I gained during TOM - a good reminder. I had been hoping to make it to onederland before the big family wedding at the end of the month, but that's pretty unlikely given how my losses have trended. I am going to have to just be happy with (hopefully) losing a little over 40lbs by that time. I feel better and I know I look better, so I need to be happy with those truths rather than focused on the scale. I know, I am preaching to the choir here, but it's so true

Happy weekend to you all!
