Amazing post!! So, so true.

And to take it once step further....have your significant other touch you in the shower. Seriously. Take it wherever you want, lol, but it makes me feel soooooooo much more muscular and confident when my hubby washes my back and I know my muscles are popping!

I will say that "the feels" are weirding me out! I have something about touching bones that wigs me out a little bit, and it's only getting worse as I lose more weight.

I have this bone that I suddenly noticed on the top of my both of my feet that has popped up. I mean, it's always been there, but I just noticed it, and I've been obsessing about it. It makes my feet look so weird from the side, though I know it's normal. I find myself looking at my feet on the couch and touching around on it.

Also, I have a ribcage that has always been somewhat noticeable. When I was thinner, but by no means skinny, I hated it because I always had these two humps on the top of my stomach from my ribs. They stick up a little bit now, but I can feel my ribs pretty well already, and it gives me the creeps to be able to feel them as individuals. It's like a sore in the mouth, though. I can't stop placing my hands there.

Okay, so that's enough of my neurosis. I could go on, but I won't. Haha. I just don't know what I'm going to do when I'm actually close to a normal weight. Secretly, I like feeling those bones because it's a signal of my success, but sometimes they give me a nail-on-a-chalkboard type heebie jeebies.

wannaskipandlaugh - I will NEVER be able to put my fingers around my wrist. There's not much extra on my wrists. I can already see the bone sticking out - and there's a massive gap between my fingers. That means I can genuinely call myself big boned.

Maybe I'm more visual, but I think I can see more than I can feel...except for around my collar bones perhaps.

I noticed this morning as I was laying on my side that I no longer have the deep crease on the side of my stomach. I've had that in that position for as long as I can remember, but it's smoothed out now.

Made me think of this thread.

So glad I read this. I've been wondering what those things were in my chest -- besides the boobs -- and now I know that I'm supposed to have bones there. I think my Freshman biology is coming back and we actually have 206 bones in our body. Could have fooled me! This does give new meaning to let your fingers do the walking!

I love getting "the feels". In the past, everytime I'd lose a significant amount of weight, the first place I'd see and feel are my wrist bones and ankle bones. And I can't help looking at them over and over and touching them every now and then.

I know that once the fat really starts to melt away and my collar bone shows I'll never be able to keep my hands off of it.

I have been pulling at the skin between my thumb and my forefinger all morning. This is my first official "loose skin". It's such a bizaare little place to have it, but that's definitely what it is!

BUMP!

When I go to yoga class, my instructor always talks about "sit bones". Now I'm very aware of the bones in my butt, that were definitely not there before!

I completely forgot about butt bones! I haven't felt them in a couple of years when sitting, haha!

I'm totally over butt bones. I have flat butt anyway (and super wide hips, unfortunately) that is just now slowly beginning to plump out a bit with some serious squats, and it's starting to hurt to sit on hard chairs. By the time I'm at goal, I'm gonna have to carry around one of those donut things to sit on for the rest of my life in case I encounter a hard butt rest.

Yes! Feeling your fat makes you want to lose it, lol. And when you feel it going away, it makes you want to keep going

This thread was even better this time around, thanks for bumping Jane!!!

This might be TMI but.....

I thought I had a bump like an ingrown hair or a pimple or something on my butt the other day. It was actually just a sore bum from sitting outside on my front steps all day. My butt bones were sore!!! I was never so happy to have a sore a$$!
