I actually have had braces THREE times...my mouth was really screwed up as a kid, and I needed them for more than cosmetic reasons. I had a lot of other things besides braces too that went on the roof of my mouth and made it difficult to talk without a lisp... The last time I had braces I had the ceramic ones and also had clear elastics, and almost none of my friends even knew I had them. I personally wouldn't go with Invisalign because I know I would always just want to take them out (lol). Good luck!

I feel your pain I havent had to wear them a second time as an adult but I remember getting them when I was 15 and they weren't fun at all

I hope that your braces work out for you. I remember countless trips to the orthodontist office, ugh how my sibling and I dreaded those trips!!! My teeth are pretty straight now but unfortunately one of our dogs had chewed up my retainer years ago, put your retainer out of an animal's reach if you have a pet!!! A few years ago, I visited a local orthodontist to consider getting braces again because a few of my teeth are crooked, there is a small gap between two others. I decided against going through with the braces again, I can live with these imperfections and it would have cost another small fortune.

I wore braces for three years when I was in middle school and I hated them. I wore my retainer for years and years but my teeth still became misaligned again.

I went to a cosmetic dentist and had veneers placed on a few of my front teeth. They look great.

Get a second and a third opinion. You might find a better option.
