Just went "thrifting" this week and came away with some awesome stuff in size 12. When I was 18, 16, and 14 I could barely find anything. There was even more of a selection of great clothing in the single digit sizes - something to strive for! I spent $35 for 11 pieces of clothing - some with the original tags still on them. Losing weight is definitely good for the pocket book if you shop at thrift stores - lots of cute items at a fraction of the cost of retail shops.

Now THAT is something to look forward to. (Eventually, in my case!)
Much larger sizes in thrift shops tend to be worn and dated.
I have actually found a couple of really good pure wool handknits in my size, but I couldn't help wondering if they were only in there because they'd turned out a few sizes bigger than the knitter intended...

I LOVE Goodwill/thrift shops. Buy almost all my cloths from there. I love shopping now versus before. It does take longer because there is so much more to look through and of course now I have to try everything on.
I need to get some skirts that I can wear out casually. Wore a skirt to a funeral last weekend and my hubby loved my legs. Next 99 cents day, I am taking a whole day to goodwill hop. Love it!

I have now a complete spring and summer wardrobe (minus a couple t-shirts) from goodwill and a local consignment shop. I spent all together about $200 (and I needed EVERYTHING). I went to the mall yesterday and looked at what the prices are and figured how much I could have spent on very, very similar clothes - that $200 could have been $2000 with the labels I got. Some still had tags on and everything looks like new in recent fashions. Go figure! I did NOT have such luck at larger sizes!
