I prefer very milky, sweet coffee, but I've never drank coffee because I like the taste - I drink it for a nice jump start in the morning. If that means I leave out the milk and sugar to get that same jump start without the calories, I will do it!
I usually add nonfat milk to my coffee because I heard that caffeine depletes calcium levels by a tiny bit so adding just a bit of milk to my coffee makes me feel like it offsets this. The studies are mixed, from what I understand, but I figured that the calories in that tiny bit of milk are not a big deal.
THIS is such an important point I think. Not just for coffee but for all of our eating plans.
Totally agree with you re: Tim's tricking us with their cream. Good tip asking for cream on the side, I'll have to do that...I'm not much for milk in coffee.
I'm not much for milk in my coffee either! If I want something in it, I enjoy some cream!
