Well I was damn sure I was pregant both times!!!!

We are freezing in East TN, we have about 7 inches of snow and it is going to be near 0 tonite...we are freezing. How you northerners do it I will never know. Makes me want to go back to Florida where it will be a balmy 20 tonite!!!!!!

Went to work today and left DH home with the kids as school is closed the rest of the week. Due to cold and ice. TN shuts down when it gets below 30 or a flake of snow falls it is quite humorous for a former updata NYer to watch. I remember Lake Effect Snow!!!

have a nice evening ladies I must go resuce the cat from my son......

As a former "snow country" inhabitant, I have to laugh whenever we get a rare sprinkling of the white stuff here in the Vancouver area. I know how to drive in it but I'm smart enough to stay off the roads because these hot house orchids in this area haven't a clue. Their idea of getting their car to move from park when it's on ice is to spin the tires wildly until either the tire goes bald and bursts or they hit pavement. LOL I don't think they realize that there are other gears besides High.
Fortunately, it's in the 40s and sunny today although wind and more rain are predicted for tonight and tomorrow. It was lovely to have a sunny day for a change.
Robin, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's a difficult thing to face when good friends are lost in a senseless accident.
I can't imagine being full term preggers and not knowing it. I wonder how she'll explain this miracle child to her husband.
Pooky, I hope your Miree is better soon. I'd rather be sick myself than to have a puking kid in the house. My younger daughter had projectile vomiting with no warning. We had some traumatic moments in her young life. LOL
Today I took my friend to my older daughter's salon to have our hair trimmed. I was starting to look like a Brillo pad with frizzy ends sticking out all over. Wish I had my friend's hair. It is naturally wavy and just looks so neat all the time. I'm either complaining that my hair is limp, straight and unmanagable or over-permed, frizzy and unmanagable. Anyhow, it looks and feels much better now after a shearing. Went out to lunch and had a 1/2 size Chicken Caesar salad. It just didn't seem like enough so, when I got home I had some macadamia nuts and whipped cream. (well, it's a favourite snack of Doc Atkins ) Probably not something I should have too often though.
Still, trying to encourage myself to do some exercising, but I've had a sore knee waking me up at night and don't want to aggravate it. Should get on the bike and try that slowly for 10 minutes or so. That's what the physiotherapist had me doing a couple of years ago for the problem. Silly thing though, it hardly bothers me at all during the day while standing, walking or sitting. Just when I lie down it starts to pain me.
Oops, gotta go. Catch u all tomorrow.

I love pilates class right now, but I know tomorrow I'm going to regret every moment of it. There was only 2 of us in class tonite, so it's a lot like having a personal trainer. For $42 for 15 classes, it's a heck of a bargin.

Holly and Tyler are doing fine. They actually let him come home yesterday. Imagine leaving the hospital with a baby when you have nothing ready for him. She delivered exactly 9 months from her wedding day. Sad thing is that she an SHDH were already separated, his mom has control issues. I have faith it will work out for the best.

Robin, how is everyone coping up your way? Does your community have grief counsellers? I lost my Dad suddenly 2 years ago and it helped to talk to someone. Of course we're always here, but sometime talking to a stranger is almost easier.

Sneaking in, last again!

What a week so far, should be down 10 pounds... LOL LOL

Very tired after DIL having hip replacement surgery on Tuesday, everything went OK she only 28 and the surgery took longer because her bones were harder and more dense than 70-80 yrs olds. She's determined to get out of there ASAP. Lots of driving back and forth 1hour 20 minutes each way if the traffic is good.

Also had a hard sad time resigining from head of the Art Club (2.5 years as President) due to my schedule change at work and downward slide of my lady with alzehimers. Will just have to find time to do my artwork somewhere!

Early tomorrow (today) morning I am off and driving again, first east an hour then home and then west into Vancouver to see Christina, home for supper if I'm lucky in traffic. Hoping for a quiet evening at home with the Ice Pack on my knee and a good movie... should fall asleep in my recliner in about 20 minutes... whoopee!!!

It's 12:30 and the cake is just done, so it can be iced in the morning... NO it's not for me, it's for my son and DIL Chris.

Have a good day, see you later.
