Susan, I've wondered all day about your mother.
Hopefully, this time will fix things.
Sorry Pat still feels bad.

I should be getting my keys next week-bank has sent documents to my lawyer. I bought a mattress & TV-arranged for cable, internet & land line- I'll be so glad to get out of this suspended state- When I get moved I'm going to buy another pair of roller blades. You can't keep this old broad down!!

I'm going in to the office tomorrow-we have some people going out to work-will be there at 5 AM-early start to the day

let's all have a great weekend

Good morning everyone!

Susan - How is your mom? Been thinking about cha'!

Maureen - wow, sounds like things are moving right along! I'm sure you can't wait to get moved into your own place.

Tina - what's new? Are you getting any relief in the weather?

Jenelle - Will you have pumpkins & gouards in your garden?

Tammy - Hi! What's new?

*Working all w/e here! Yesterday was friends & family at the Bug.......it was pretty busy. but....we were up against the local Folk Festival, or we probably would have been busier.
*Went down to the house when I got home last night. Was a little disappointed.......things were kinda messy. lots of dust and dirt. Fingerprints on white closet doors and stuff........and........the bathroom in the basement was flooded!!!! urgh........
We would have been much more strict on the contractor....but....my husband WORKS with his father and father in law! Urgh. I might start cleaning tomorrow.
*Praying for the families of the Navy Seals that were killed yesterday. Breaks my heart! My husband was in the Navy for 12 years............

Ya'all have a great Sunday! I'm doing a little laundry and then heading out to work!
((hugs))

Hi All,

Mom has had a pretty good day. She sat up for 2 hours this morning and ate 1/2 her lunch. She sounded much better!!!! I'll call again in a little bit.

I haven't gotten much accomplished today. My doctor did call and wants me to keep taking the prenatal vitamins because my iron count was normal! Yea, now I'll go give blood!!

I'm on the last week of vacation. I hate to go back! Especially going to a different school!!!!! I still have to move all my stuff! Yuck!!!

Stay cool and hope you had a great Monday!

Tuesday--another hot one!

Susan, that's great about your mother feeling better!!!

I've got to go see a dr. today. I've got a little cyst on my hip and it's irritated and yucky! I just found it there on Sunday. My dermatologist can't see me until next Thursday afternoon. And, my dr. and his wife (a dr.) are both busy until next week! (It must be because of school.) Anywho, I have to see someone new, just to get an antibiotic. I hate doing that!
Maureen, hang in there!
Jeanne, clean you old house.
Janelle, how's that garden?
Tammy, we miss you!
Mimi, farmgirl and Dori.......POST.

Finally getting a few things from the garden. It's late this year due to 5 early hail storms. *deep sigh* But it's starting to roll. Getting yellow squash, zukes, and few green beans. Can't wait for the heirloom tomatoes, a new crop for me. Not the maters, just the variety. When the cukes finally set, I'm going to have them running out my ears! Got tired of radishes, ripped them up and planted fall spinach and butter crunch and romaine lettuce. Now for the sweet corn under my neighbors pivot to get ripe! Also have eggplant, pumpkins, watermelon, scarlett runner beans, dragon tongue beans, several varieties of heirloom carrots, ( a new experiment), beets, Cherokee wax beans, (YUM), Brussell sprouts. Did not look at the maturity days on the BS. Good thing they are cold hardy. I'll probably have to cover them, they should be ready about Christmas.

Cauliflower, green cauliflower, broc, and okra, another new one for me!

Down .2 this week. 1.8 to go.

I spoke too soon. Shortly after posting, the ping pong ball size hail rolled in and shattered the garden. *deep sigh*

Some will recover, some sadly are toast!

Oh Janelle, I am so sorry. That's horrible. I was just reading about all your wonderful things in that garden.
It's too bad you could have a contraption you could put over the garden when a storm was coming.
Well, if you lived in TX, you wouldn't have a garden at all. This heat is just unreal!
Our peach and pecan crops are history this year.

How's everyone else?????

Good morning,
Everyone is busy, busy right now, I guess.

I'm off to buy curtains/drapes for the living/dining rooms. Maybe I'll just get sheers for the dining room window. I really don't know what I want.
Have a great day!

Hi,
I just realized I had not posted in the last week or so. Momma is doing well. She is at rehab now and told me the last 2 days she is "ready" to go home! She's not!!!

School is ok! That's all I can say about that without crying. It's all the changes that are killing me!

Pat's still sick.... been a month now. He is on his 3rd antibiotic, nose spray, cough medicine and now a steriod shot. If this doesn't work, Thursday, the dr. said she is sending him to a specialist. His friend that is the OB/GYN said "he will put him in the hospital" I will laugh if he does. I told him not every guy has their own OB/GYN!!!

The heat killed my garden. I gave up because we are on such water restrictions too.

I need new curtains in our bedroom too. I tried to wash them and the backing pealed off of them. They have a thermal backing. Pat said "Well, we've had them 15 years." I guess it's about time! So I'll have to look for some more!

Have a good week!
