I have some happy news to report. My first mini-goal has been to lose 15 pounds by my daughter's first birthday. Her birthday is in a week and a half, and today I reached the goal!
In some ways it is exciting and some ways not. I am happy to reach the goal, but still discouraged that I am one year post-partum and still have so much baby weight. It's also discouraging to think about working so hard to lose the weight when we want to have another baby in the next year or two, which means gaining weight again.
I haven't decided what my next goal is going to be. I may just aim for one more pound by the end of the month and Kaitlyn's birthday, and then set a new goal for the month of August. Wow, I can't believe it's almost August!
Beth - WTG on meeting that mini-goal! Remember to focus on the positive and the progress! And just think how healthy and strong your body will be for your next pregnancy after you lose the weight and become healthier. And if you do it once, you'll be able to do it again, right?
We just returned from our hike and it was wonderful. The weather was cool and with a light breeze it was perfect. It wasn't uphill hiking, but it was still very nice and I felt every bit of it. After my shower now, I feel even better.

Beth- Again, congratulations on your mini goal. Celebrate each step of your weightloss Remember, pregnancy is much easier when you are at a lower BMI. It will be heather for both you and your baby.
Courtney- Great job getting your miles in. It's hard in the middle of the day.
Shan- Enjoy your trip, I hope you are having great weather.
I've stayed the same so far but I have been completely on plan :\ BUT I did ride my bike yest which I am not used to on a hard lvl. My muscles were tired yest not hurting, not sire, just tired plus I think drinking a diet soda didnt help :\ I guess time to drop the diet soda again. Amazing how 1 diet soda 2 days in a row can hinder that combined with "new" exercise regimens.
Good luck to everyone with weigh in this weekend. I'm leaving at 6am tomorrow morning to head camping for a week, followed by a road trip to Iowa for three weeks. I will try to stay in touch here on the threads.
Say goodbye to the bf in one week. I am so glad he was able to come here for three weeks. We were supposed to meet up in Europe in Dec/Jan, but finances will be tight. Hopefully everything works out though.
Food has not been 100% perfect, but exercise has been awesome with the bf here. Hope to get everything back on track soon.
