Red Team Summer Meltdown Chat Thread Week 8 (7/18-7/24)
Posting the new threads a little early this time.
Tomorrow is my birthday and we are leaving New Mexico and heading to Durango for four days. Enjoying spending time with the BF and he has met all of my family this trip. We are having a blast! The plan for Durango is to get some good hiking in and relax. Then we will spend 3 days in Denver before heading to Gunnison on a week cabin stay with the whole family. Then he leaves .
Off to enjoy my time. I will try to get results done tomorrow. Good luck to everyone as we start week 8.
I hope you enjoy your hiking trip! Major bummer that your BF has to leave though. I thought he was going to stay all summer with you.
I apologize but had to take a freebie this past week. I lost all motivation during the week, let my ovulation cravings get to me, and ate like a hog. Gained 5. I am NOT updating my ticker or information to include that because I am determined that it will be GONE next week! Here's to a better, healthier, more active week!
So I got down to 156 which I'm happy about considering I started at 155 and all off a sudden puffed up to a whoopin 160 the week after. So to me that's pretty good to get close to at least the starting point. So what we have 6 weeks left before the fines of this. There has been so many times I thought about just quitting because I had gained and was hardly losing but decided not to since quitting isn't in my blood. haha. Today I'm restarting I took this week to revise my diet and excerise and today is a fresh start. So Let's hope I can at least get down to 153 before the biggest loser challenge ends!
Congrats peanutt and SMSDreamer! I will update freebies later this week. Hope everyone is getting off to a good start today.
We are now in Durango, CO for four days for my birthday.
Courtney- The bf was only scheduled to be in the states with me for 3 weeks and then he is to continue his world travel. I will meet up with him again in December/January for our Europe travel.
Courtney - I saw your post in Sarge Bootcamp and I know everyone gave you a rough time to get you motivated again. You can't change the past and I admire that you are ready to do what ever it takes to lose those 5 lbs again quickly. I went through the same thing 2 weeks ago and wasn't nearly as quick to turn it around. Just keep up the good work because this is for life and in the grand sceme of things a week isn't a huge deal as long as you get back on track
I am happier with my week last week (lost 1 pound). I feel some of my 1.8 gain the week before was due to the TOM since I lost a pound while not exercising or eating particularly well. But I have recommited to eating right since I am school I don't have time for exercise but if I make the right food choices I should still lose weight.
CONGRATULATIONS RED TEAM!!!!! You won the week 7 challenge.
Congratulations to peanutt (ps auto correct kept taking the extra t off the end so it's missing in the results thread)
and Congratulations to shan and SMSDreamer as well those are some awesome losses ladies.
Shan I hope you enjoy your time in CO, and I wish you a very Happy Birthday!!!
Susan great picture that sounds like it was a great trip, I was in Denver last year on the way to the Grand Canyon but only spent a day there. Your trip sound like fun.
Rated - Thanks! I may be kind of quiet over there this week. I think I really ticked Sarge off. Believe me, that wasn't my intention. I figured I would be honest about my gain instead of make up some BS story about why I ate and didn't work out. Perhaps honesty may not have been the best policy. In any case, I feel like I am now in the position of "put up or shut up" right now. So I am doing my best to prove that I can do this.
Courtney- You were fine and Sarge's response to you was fine. We all need a break at times. The goal is to have our up's and down's and to figure out what we are going to do to fix the problem. I have not been eating on plan to 5 weeks, that why I have only lost 5 pounds. It did give me the diet break I needed and I learned that I need to work on both diet and exercise. I also, learned that life stress is a constant and we need to keep working towards our goals.
