My Base metabolic rate is about 1400 (I've had a doctor check this), I walk at 5km/hr, and according to my calculations I lose about 150 calories. I don't lift, or do free weight or anything. the 150 calories I burn is pretty much all the activity I get in a day. I cannot eat 1800 calories unless I was eating an insane amount of carbs. I don't eat 1800 calories daily, regardless of whether or not I am on a diet. I dont' even get close to that. Unless I've got a terrible chocolate craving while I'm on my period.
I just can't eat that much. In fact I eat more on this diet (since it allows an unlimited amount of veges) than I did before. Not to mention, before this diet, my protein intake was bordering on few-to-none. In fact, I don't crave anything except for trigger foods like bread and sugar, and that's only when other people are eating it or I can smell it.
I think the discouraging thing for me was more the fact the exercise was yielding no result, because I've yielded excellent results in the past, just never stuck with it.
Thanks for your advice Esofia, I will keep it in mind.
