Hey...havent posted in awhile. Been a rough year for me health wise. Still got in a good bit of mileage although nowhere near where I intended to be. I'll probably end up about 1600-1650. But I am heavier and slower than where I started the year. Hoping the next 2 weeks give me a miracle health cure so I can start fresh!
It has been crazy at my house so far this month. I was hoping to end December with a BANG but am instead ending as a whimper running-wise.
I'm up to 677.68 running and 1117.39 biking. Boy, it was easier to get over 1000 on the bike than on my feet. Maybe I can get to 700 even for running before the year runs out, I'll try!
Good job everyone, I'm so impressed that we've been running all year, whoo hoo!

Yes, yes, yes! Look at us!!! We should all be proud of sticking it out!
Isabella, I'm game for another one next year!
I think we should add up all our miles at the end of 2009!
I haven't checked in since way back when the thread started. I'm not going to make 1000, but pretty close. I'm a walker, though I think when I joined I was hoping to run. That went down the drain when running irritated my neck a lot. Then I had some low back issues and foot drop this past summer so walking was limited for a couple of weeks (I have one of those made in China walmart spines). Overall though I'm pretty happy and definitely looking forward to the 2010 challenge. Watching that number move was definitely motivating
I haven't been posting my mileage here, because I've been so busy running it! I don't know what it is about having said "I'm going to run 1000 miles" that makes me willing to go absolutely nuts and run 120 miles this month, just to reach the 1000 mile level.
+4. I am finding it hard to work up the enthusiasm to get out there and do miles, which is really odd, given how few I have left to go. I don't know if it's exhaustion from overtraining or fear of actually reaching the goal or what!
By the way, I have started a Facebook group for this madness for next year. Because if it doesn't have a Facebook group, does it really exist?
I'm also using the Twitter hash tag #1000milesin2009 for running posts...and I'll use #1000milesin2010 next year!
