Why not invest in one of those small plastic containers with a freezer pack in the lid? I have a lunch box like that made by Fit N Fresh. I believe they make smaller ones and I've seen them at TJ Maxx and Ross lately, so you can pick them up cheap.

If you pack it up the night before, all you need to do is put in the freezer pack and throw it in your bag. The beauty of using a container like that, is that hard boiled eggs and such won't get squashed.

Eggs are always a good filler for me, and hard boiled they travel well. I will freeze a bottle of water, (with a few drinks out and lid off so it doesn't explode in the freezer)screw the lid back on and stick in my little lunch bag. It keeps everything cold for several hours, and I drink the water after it melts.

I carry my breakfast to work with me every morning. I take one or a combination of the following: yogurt, berries, smoothies, a slice of turkey and a slice of provolone, cereal bars, and nuts.

I do that in the am too SM! I throw the eggs on & get in the shower. I’m lucky to have a fridge at work so I boil 3 & there’s 3 days of breakfast.

I can’t say that I love hard boiled eggs, but the protein is a MUST for me in the am. I alternate w/ PB toast or a WW bacon, egg cheese sandwich to mix things up a bit.

I hear ya Fatmad. I've been saving so much money since I started dieting & preparing foods at home. I even make my own coffee in the morning & take a thermos to work (I hate the swill they call coffee in my office). I used to stop at Starbux every morning, then hit the cafe at work for lunch & then DF & I would go out for dinner or order in. OUT OF CONTROL!

I've become a total cheapskate. Why would I pay for a salad from our salad bar downstairs when I could bring my own & know it would be fresher & a fraction of the cost.

Healthy for my body & my wallet!

I'm a big fan of smoothies because I rather just drink my breakfast. I haven't had a smoothie in a while but usually what I'll make is a chai tea with soe soy milk. Then I'll eat something a little more substantial later on.

I feel oatmeal and banana's are the best for the breakfast.
