Oh-hhhh, that was a serious year. Broke up with my boyfriend of 7 years, briefly...long enough for him to decide he wanted to get married after all. We've been together ever since! We married in March of 1984! I hiked the Grand Canyon that year. I have been there, but have not hiked it since.

1962-I was living in Petaluma...just a little kid hating the smell of "the chicken capital of the world". Wishing that we had a covered bus stop on rainy days, but loving the community pool during the hot summers. I had a very short stint as a Bluebird, but then we moved to Ukiah. My aunt was a car hop at an A&W, on roller skates.

In J.H. We were studying Lincoln in history class and Mrs. Hiles came in and announced that our president had been shot. We thought she meant Lincoln and laughed until we saw her crying and realized it was JFK.

I was three years old! One of the earliest memories I have was when I was three. I picked my mom a bouquet of strawberry flowers! We were living in "the valley", the Sumner Valley that is, in Washington, near Tacoma. The soil is peat. My grandfather threw down a cigarette and caught the ground on fire. It burned for weeks and my dad kept trying to dig it up and put it out.
