Oh, I'm so excited that everyone has found there way here. I told Jelbb I was a bit worried but it looks like we've found our way here! I wonder why we are seeing that "X" instead of the list of names? Very strange, but I'm very glad I'm not the only one!!!

Thank you Preppingbride (congrats by the way!) for offering to be the captain. It's all you! THANK YOU!!!!

Macorner - Just to put this out there....I could not run for two mins before doing C25K and I am doing week 8 day 1 today. I mean HORRIBLE runner. Never really thought I would get this far in the C25K because I always end up quitting when things seem to difficult.

Every time I got done with a week I thought the next week sounded too difficult and figured that I would probably end up failing that next week or have to redo it. And that ever ended up being the case. Just stick to it, don't overdo it or underdo it. When you are doing your "running stretches" and you think you can't keep going, slow down the pace but KEEP JOGGING. Also, don't have more then a 3 day break. I was usually doing Mon/Wed/Fri having Sat and Sun off. A couple of times I skipped Monday and did it Tuesday and that was always a horrible day for me. But right now, I look forward to my "runs" which is absolutly CRAZY for me to say! Seriously CRAZY! Just remember when it seems very difficult and you think about stopping, it IS NOT going to kill you and you are going to feel AWESOME once it's over. I would always think about other things that take up the remaining time I have to run. Examples: If I had one min left to go I would think about that I sit on a toilet to pee for longer then a min....I can continue to jog for one more min....silly...but getting your mind of what you really want to quit at that moment will get you through that moment.

K...done rambling.. I am just SOOO grateful that I stuck to the C25K. I think everyone should do it! tee hee!

I vote Stephanie as captain

I'm pretty sure that as long as you have time on Mondays, then you'll be fine. Everyone is supposed to be checking in with their weights by noon Mondays anyway.

Edit: I saw the previous post only after I put in this one. I said I'd step up as captain if other people were unavailable, but if Stephanie would like to do it then I will hand over the crown. (and yes there is a crown.)

preppingbride - Lol after your post I went straight to the cool running website to see what week 3 entailed lol. We can totally do this! Just remember its eqaul parts running and walking and you can do a lot of things for 3 minutes. 3 minutes is NOTHING!

Jamiejo - Great job for sticking with the c25k. Its funny but I can feel myself becoming excited about my runs. I wanted to do more than 3 days a week but got some very wise advise that if I limited myself to the programs 3 days per week I would be looking forward to my running days. I agree everyone should do this!

You sure you want to relinquish the crown? Jk. I don't care who is captain lol.

Yeah...at times I thought about doing it more then the 3 times per week but am very glad that I didn't so that I didn't make myself sick of it.

And you are right, 3 minutes is nothing....a poop takes longer then 3 minutes! Think about that while your running and the time will fly by! tee hee!

Do you guys run outside or indoors?

Stephanie, you're right... 3 minutes.... I'll just have to keep repeating to myself that 3 minutes is nothing. (I wonder how many times i'll be able to say that in 3 minutes?)

And the crown has officially been passed. If there was a reason that you were unable to fulfill your duties, then you can let me know and I can be back-up. I shall name myself vice captain. lol

I've been doing it on the treadmill... I hope by the time its spring that I will be full-on running my butt off (literally!!) and I'll be able to take it outside. I have also wanted to do more than the program calls for (the first two weeks just aren't too hard) but I have kept it to three days per week (went over the time a few times though... didn't want it to end!)

I'm starting week 3 today so I'll let yall know how it goes!

prepping bride - Vice captain it is lol. On a side note I had done this program once before and went by time vs distance. What I noticed was when I did it for time I would run slower waiting for the time to go by. I imagine if I were doing it for distance I might run faster to try and get the distance to go by. When I actually did enter a 3k back then I remember thinking I was ill prepared because I followed the plan by time. So I don't know if your planning on entering an event or not but might be something to think about.

Andrea - This program is awesome for your butt! My butt and thighs are my problem area for sure. I used to do mad workouts on the eliptical in college and could not manage to shred inches from these areas to save my life. In doing the c25k a while back though I saw a huge difference!

I agree with Stephanie! I haven't had a weight loss, but I am loving my butt!!!

So what is our total pounds and how many total pounds to we have to loose? I saw the other teams posting that to the main thread.

Weighing in... still 175, just as I predicted. :P good to see so many new posts! I was worried yesterday that we were the slowest posters of the teams, haha.

OH! Sorry, Stephanie! :P I'm a dunce. 135 is my ULTIMATE goal. My 4 week goal is 165, so about 2.5 pounds a week. Ahahaha, 10 pounds a week...heck no. Sorry for the mixup

Hey Team Purple!

Your goal as a team is supposed to be your FINAL goal weights for the purposes of figuring out percentages for this challenge! Please give Steph your final goal weights to add together!

Cheeeeers!
