Second day back at work and I'm already slacking

Nessa - I did have a few whiny moments about never getting a break but I'm over it and back on track now. It's amazing how accountable I hold myself to those tickers!

Carol - It took me about 9 months for the first 75 and 3 and counting for the last 5!

Zeffryn - I love freecycle. I'm terrible at throwing things out so it makes it much easier for me to get rid of stuff.

Heather - How good? I love TV shows for working out on the treadmill and I'm all through the available episodes of Weeds (yes, I have a twisted sense of humor!)

Mandi, Loriann, Pacer, Pearl, Rebel

Now I really should get back to work

Rats! Uhaul just called to change our moving truck reservation to a different location and time - Noon instead of 8 a.m. It's probably for the best...the morning FLIES by when you're moving. My MIL just called as well and told me she was going to be out of town on Saturday and won't be able to watch DS while we move. Double rats!

Wife2abadge- it is a pregnancy ticker.

Cyndi - It also makes it a lot easier to give things away when people come and pick them up! Saves me a trip all the way across town to bring things to the GoodWill.

Morning all! Down another pound today... I think I am finding my groove!!

Zeff - I have heard of freecycle, but never tried it. Is it freecycle.com or something??

Kids were up SO MUCH last night! Felt like I had a newborn in the house again... up every 1-2 hours with someone. DH slept thru it all!! ARG! LOTS of coffee was needed today. Trying to find time to squeeze in some exercise. Looks like rain. I'm going to attempt to get a walk in as soon as DD gets out of preschool (she like looking for squirrels!), hoping it doesn't pour on us!
Enjoy your day!

Good morning ladies, toast to a new day indeed! : )

Cottage, so glad to hear that your dads procedure went well. I'm sure its such a relief and you can all catch up with some rest. Great news! : )

Lorianne, hope your feeling better today. Hang in there, something is bound to come up.

To all of you, a big hello. You all sound like such early risers. I think I am the slacker of the group here, hahaha : ) I am still drinking my ice coffee. I linger with my coffee for quite some time. I am in ph1 and i think the limit is 1 to 2 per day, sometimes I do 3 ( 1 tsp. in a 16 oz. cup).

I am happy to awaken to a new day and a sunny one at that! Day 5 for me on first phase. Dropped some fluids last night, I can feel it. I think drinking all that water has helped. It got really cold here last night (37) but it's supposed to be a sunny and mild week, up to 70!
I managed to squeeze ina 20 min. walk yesterday, looking forward to a nice walk with DH after work. I have lots to do around here so I better get a move on......I have yet to organize my clothes and put away the summer clothes.

Have a great day everyone

Cyndi - I think it's really good (but I like vampires and really dark humor). The acting is great and the story line is really strong. And I think there will be LOTS of twists and turns, which I LOVE. If you can, I'd say check out the first couple of episodes. Let me know what you think!

Jenny - it's Freecycle.org and then it will direct you to the group in your area.

Hope everyone is having a good day. Time sure flies.

[B]cottage[B] my dear MIL had a pacemaker for 22 years and lived a full life.

My DH suggested that I use the apple peeler and slicer for preparing my apples for the dryer. I just removed the peeler part and it went so quickly. All the apples were of the same uniform cut. I also realized that I have a dryer on my oven which will dry twice as many apples as the little dehydrator.

Ruth and anyone who is celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend. Have a good one. I'm off the computer till Tuesday.

Zeff, I agree most of the time in my area all we get are posts for wants in freecycle but our moderator is pretty good and there have been more offers lately. I have given away alot that way. Probably need to soon clean out again and offer up some more.

I was able to download the form I needed from Secretary of State to correct Truck title, whew sigh of relief, now just have to call the buyer to come back and sign. He was very sweet about my screwup

Hey all...just buzzing in to say hello and that I probably won't be posting much...I usually try to post and check in in the mornings, but am now hitting the gym at 5 a.m. and leaving straight from there to go to work. Love it...great way to start the day and doesn't hurt they have a starbucks in the gym too. Exercise, steam, shower and starbucks..gotta love it.

I'm also taking a yoga class at night on MTW while my husband works out...love that too and we are having a blast there. Hope to check in when I can, but personals will be pretty much out of the question I guess...

hugs to all..

Can someone look at this recipe. Is it really Phase 1 safe? (or phase 1.5 for me!) Concerned about the oil...
And I figured out the WW points, and as is, it is 2.4 pts when cut into 9 squares.
I tried this today, I used Great Northern beans... IT WAS SO FRICKIN GOOD! TOO GOOD! That is why I think there must be some mistake that this is a SB recipe!! This is more like chocolate cake. I am thinking I can totally pass this off as cupcakes for my kids!! Tell me the truth, is this recipe really OK?

Black Bean Brownies (TRIED AND TRUE)

Phase: 1
Preheat Oven: 350
Cooking Time: 30-40

1 15oz. can of UNSEASONED black beans - drained and rinsed
OR 1 1/4 cup cooked beans of any color
4 eggs (extra large)
1 cup Splenda
3 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. oil or butter
1 Tbs Vanilla (FULL Tablespoon)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup ricotta cheese or cream cheese

This is the link for the recipe:

Yup! It's fine for SBD, if you make sure you use lowfat or fat-free cream cheese and ricotta, and use an approved margarine instead of real butter. Canola or vegetable oil is fine for SBD. So go ahead and enjoy your brownies, guilt free, just remember portion control!

Well I went out for a walk today during lunch and made it all the way to the airport and back, about 3 miles. The cool part about it is I turn around at the airport and the walk takes me up to the second level and back down so right in the middle of the walk I'm challenged with a steep grade. I love the walk just hate the traffic zooming around it. It feels good to make it that far. Yah.

Nessie, good luck on the pup. When I got Cinder & Shadow they were 9 months old. Still young enough to watch them finish growing up and filling out but you get to miss most of the puppy training phase.

I just have time to pop in and say that I'm still around. I was gone to Wood Badge Thurs - Sunday. I had a great time. My Gazettes turned out great and I did really well with my 50 minute presentation. I am really looking forward to the second long weekend. Brian had a wonderful time staying with Taylor and his family and got to volunteer at a scout activity/overnighter while I was gone.

We had a huge upgrade at work this past weekend and I've been working like crazy since (plus scouting stuff last night, tonight and tomorrow night and then Brian goes camping this weekend).

I've put on a few pounds. The food at camp was so unhealthy. Tons of carbs and not healthy ones either. I really felt for the diabetics and the vegetarians. They had specified their diet restrictions and while the quartermasters did well with the participants they didn't with the staff.
