Default Hello

here are some jokes for you first off

Kids

#1. POLICE
While taking a routine vandalism report at an elementary school, I
was
interrupted by a little girl about six years old. Looking up and
down
at
my uniform, she asked, "Are you a cop?" "Yes," I answered and
continued
writing the report. "My mother said if I ever needed help I should
ask
the police. Is that right?" "Yes, that's right," I told her. "Well,
then," she said as she extended her foot toward me, "would you
please
tie my shoe?"

#2. K-9
It was the end of the day when I parked my police van in front of
the
station. As I gathered my equipment, my K-9 partner, Jake, was
barking,
and
I saw a little boy staring in at me. "Is that a dog you got back
there?"
he
asked. "It sure is," I replied. Puzzled, the boy looked at me and
then
towards the back of the van. Finally he said, "What'd he do?"

#3. ELDERLY
While working for an organization that delivers lunches to elderly
shut-ins, I used to take my four-year-old daughter on my afternoon
rounds.
She was unfailingly intrigued by the various appliances of old age,
particularly the canes, walkers and wheelchairs. One day I found her
staring at a pair of false teeth soaking in a glass. As I braced
myself
for
the inevitable barrage of questions, she merely turned and
whispered,
"The
tooth fairy will never believe this!"

#4. DRESS-UP
A little girl was watching her parents dress for a party. When she
saw
her
dad donning his tuxedo, she warned, "Daddy, you shouldn't wear that
suit."
"And why not, darling?" "You know that it always gives you a
headache
next
morning."

#5. DEATH
While walking along the sidewalk in front of his church, our
minister
heard the intoning of a prayer that nearly made his collar wilt.
Apparently, his five-year-old son and his playmates had found a dead
robin.
Feeling that proper burial should be performed, they had secured a
small
box and cotton batting, then dug a hole and made ready for the
disposal
of
the deceased. The minister's son was chosen to say the appropriate
prayers
and with sonorous dignity intoned his version of what he thought his
father
always said: "Glory be unto the Faaaather and unto the Soonnn and
into
the
hole he gooooes."

#6. SCHOOL
A little girl had just finished her first week of school. "I'm not
going
to
school anymore, I'm just wasting my time," she said to her mother.
"I
can't read, I can't write and they won't let me talk!"

#7. BIBLE
A little boy opened the big family bible. He was fascinated as he
fingered
through the old pages. Suddenly, something fell out of the Bible. He
picked
up the object and looked at it. What he saw was an old leaf that had
been dried, "hey mom I found adams fig leaf"

Now, Meme, you have to do what you believe is right for yourself and your grandson. I agree with that; but that is more than enough for you to handle. I know you love them all, but keep Ross and let the others find responsible day care for them. Whatever, I just hope you feel better soon. Did you get the Bluestuff yet? Does it work for you as well?

Candice - My last pair of shoes, my ecco's cost me $165.00; however, they have a wide toebox and a narrow heel, so I can keep them on. I have a narrow foot and it isn't that easy to find shoes in this city. Most everyone carries medium width and they are just to wide and sloppy. I have had my easyspirit dress shoes for years. They have a 11/2 inch heel and I can wear them for the day if I must. Since I started staying home 6 years ago, my foot has changed somewhat. My cousins wears those Birkenstock things. I absolutely hate them. They are so uncomfortable to me. I prefer Clarks sandles and shoes. They are made in England and pretty comfortable. However, if you can ever find shoes made in Spain or Brazil, the leather in incredibly soft. Enough about shoes!!! I hope you are feeling better now.

Ally - shoes are covered above The wedding sounds kind of 'snobbish' I guess is the word I would use. Hope you enjoyed it, however. Don't be dissatified with what you have! Quite often people who seem to have everything, lack some of the more important nonmaterial goods - like happiness, love of self or anyone else (they do tend to love money above all).

Mima - glad you are getting everything together. I will never be size 8. I used to wear a 12 and that was great for me. When I got down to a 10, I had a terrible time finding any clothes to wear. I would, however, like to get back to my size 12. Your dress sounds so pretty. Please have some pictures taken and then send them to Meme, so we can all see them.

Joanne - Hi. Hope your day is going well and that you are enjoying your nice warm weather. I am enjoying mine. It is going to be 50 by the afternoon. Next week it will be time to get out the deck chairs and sit outside. Can't wait.

Well, have a wonderful Easter, in case I don't get on here to much until next Monday. Have a busy few days ahead of me. My daughter and grand daughter are coming tomorrow, and my son on Saturday, and then 20 others for Easter Dinner on Sunday. By Monday, I may not have the strength to get on here

Anne...you know you couldn't stay away more than 3 days if you had to drag yourself to the puter!!! Cute jokes...I liked the one about the bird burial best! Bet Candice had a living fit when she saw how long that post was!

Candice...didn't get to see Oprah yesterday and I haven't had time to go to the site yet. I could use a few 36 hr. days!!!

I got the blue stuff last week and it works pretty good. I don't think it works quite as well as it seems to for Ally but I'm pleased with it. Last night I took a shower and was hurting all over. I put some on my neck and shoulders, left arm, knees and both feet. I said at this rate I won't have any left in a couple of weeks! And I don't think it smells bad at all! As a matter of fact, I kind of like the smell.

Gotta go deliver some Avon! Hey...none of you ever bought any Avon from me...shame on you!!!

I have some clark's shoes that i love-no heel, open in back. Went to church last night-I took communion even though i'm Catholic and had a dream that the church gave me this paper with the list of rules on it. oh yeah-it was the baptist churc. we go to both-sat night we are going to the vigil and sun to the Baptist. And we love it-that's the base of our relationship-of course among other things-can't lie. i feel lazy today-the girl is moving in downstairs and I cleaned yesterday-for an hour. brad is working-he has a lot more stamina that i do.Going to look for bedroom curtains for a diversion today. Hope you are well even though we hurt all the time. Mimka

Default Hey There

Happy- Pretty Good Jokes! It is supposed to go to 80 today... The sun is shining and not a cloud in the sky. Beautiful days for the Holiday. We are doing things very quiet for Easter.
Mima.. I have a lot of Good thoughts for you. My hubby and I are Greek orthodax .We go to the Methodist church. We are enjoying it. It took me 48 years to get him to go to church with me. We went to the Greek church for special occasions when his family was alive only. It is much different now.
Ally-Candice- Meme-Sass shoes are good as well as Natulizers, Hush puppy's and ofcourse my New Balance. Most shoes hurt my feet. I have a lot of arthritis in them. These brands are about the only ones that I have found that don't hurt as much.
My son just told me that he has got tickets for me and my sister to go to Arizona for 2 weeks in Oct. We will just pay him back. This should be interesting. My Hubby has never been on his own that long.My son should have a fun time taking care of him!!!Boy will his eyes open up!!!My brother lives out there.I have never been there. I am looking forward to going..
HAVE A WONDERFUL EASTER YOU ALL...Joanne

Default Hi

Candice, why did you ask if I had read the Oprah site about how the brain works. Think there is something wrong with mine That was my marathon post, but only because of the jokes. How come the anxiety is back, bigtime. You were doing so well with that. In fact, you seemed to be doing better than last year, with everything but your arm. My goodness, I hope things improve for you BIGTIME.

Cleaning the house today - getting ready. My back hurts today. Baked three kinds of cookies yesterday and some muffins. To much standing. Don't know what is going tohappen by the time Easter gets here; if the old back is tired now, not a hope that Sunday will be a nice day for me

Happy Easter to all of you.

Hi Guys. Both my boys who will be 17 next month told me that I didn't need to do an Easter Basket this year. What? And risk that I won't invade theirs? Plus, I put them together today and have already eaten three peanut butter eggs and some kisses.
Naughty naughty.
I always put underwear in their basket...it is our little joke. My son came home today and said that there was no clean laundry......duh. He didn't do any. So he got his undies early.
I am going to an Easter Brunch with friends tomorrow. Both my kids are working.
Hope everyone has a nice holiday.

You guys make me laugh!!! Even I knew that link was for me!!!

Cleaned the whole house, did all my laundry except one load, ironed, put the 4 little one's Easter baskets together (except I used gift bags this year), put candy and money in 18 plastic eggs for the egg hunt tomorrow, made 2 spaghetti cassaroles (one for us and one for a funeral...our neighbor across the road died), made my famous strawberry salad, a choc. eclair cake and stuffed a turkey to take to son's house tomorrow, washed and curled my hair and did my nails and wrote up my Avon order! Now I'm pooped and I'm going to bed...and to think...my pastor wanted me to go sing at the sunrise service at 5:45 in the morning!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Meme you get more stuff done! You run circles around most people!!!!!!!!!!! you think you would just drop those unwanted pounds! No matter what you ate..I think it is all the meds you take!

Happy.........Happy Easter to you too!

Mima.....easter flower..who forgot..and left side of the envelope, can you still mail it?

Ally..peanut butter eaggs my favortie but I didn't buy any candy this year..I didn't get to the store due to the vertigo I had..oh well there is always next year! Ot I could make my own with some choc, peanut butter(w/powder sugar) and put them together! Better not temp me!LOL

Joanne..hello..never did get my jeans fixed!

My anxiety if back right now just came this week and I can't figure out what causes it..I am not worried about anything at the moment!LOL I just wake up with a headache and a tightness in my neck and jaw(I think that is what cuases the headache)..Kinda like to much caffine..but I don't do caffeine or too much sugar..cause I know these things wil trigger it. Got any ideas??????? The only thing that helps is to keep physically busy..cooking, cleaning or gardening and just keeps my mind off it, when I am done with these things and sit down to rest it is still there! I hate this feeling...makes me jumpy and irritable too! happens every spring..wonder if it is an allergy of some kind?????????? I heard that some docs are using botox injected into the neck muslces for this type of headache....did you hear about this too? What kind of doc does this?

Happy Easter!!!We went to my church and-in light of everything going on in the Catholic Church-gave a wonderful sermon and said we had to focus on the message -not the people.Brad really liked it and told him so after we went downstairs and stuffed our faces with sweets, Going again this morning.
