What re-motivated me... I got a make-over! Albeit impromptu

When I had hit about the 45 pound mark, I had started to get a little complacent. Caring but not really caring. Slowly noticing more and more questionable foods finding their way into my normal eats. The scale hovering at nearly the same weight week after week.

So I went into auto pilot mode. Kept doing what I know I should and have been for so long. So while I sat there and swung from the knot tied at the end of my rope I was having a conversation with a co-worker and come to find out she was a liscensed beautician. I had just turned 43 this past May and had been wearing my hair the same way, give or take a few inches, or shades for 20 years! My make-up too. OMG that was hard to write!! Can anybody say stuck in a rut... I just kept doing what looked good when I looked good. ~laughing~

Anyhoo she came over on a Saturday gave me a trendy cut, high lighted, low lighted, and updated me on my make-up. Boy did I look good!! I am one of the finest 43's you will ever see!! I look to darn good to be lugging around an extra 20 pounds (now). I swore to her as she hit the door that I would Not let all her hard work go to waist.

Color me.... Motivated

I'm going to recommend a book.
Anne M Fletcher's Thin For Life. I learned a lot from the folks who have lost weight and kept if off for extended periods of time.

I have been a yo-yo dieter for years myself...but I found that driking more water after I hit goal helped me. I drink about 10 glasses a day...so if I hit goal I would make it about 15 a day and have 1 before every meal. I found that by drinking water before eating filled me up some so I wouldnt pig out...but only eat the proportioned food that I was supposed to. I got that "trick" in a Weight Watchers meeting. Dont give up...have faith in yourself!! You have done an amazing job already!! You should be VERY proud of yourself!!
