OK, girls and guys. Keep on talking. I have ten days to go until my surgery and believe it or not, I'm not nervous. Looking forward to getting this over with and on with my life. When you can't walk because of bad knees and need a cane to get around and huff and puff and sweat like crazy, this really gives me the inspiration to get up and do something about it. I truly get tired of not being able to do normal things that I use to take for granted. Countdown has begun.

Blessings to all.

Hello, everyone.
My time is getting close for the RNY! Got my appointment for the preop blood work and crx on Thursday, then we go back to San Antonio on Tuesday night for the operation on Wednesday. It's funny but I'm not nervous like I thought I'd be. Just anxious to get it over with. My legs are killing me right now since I'm off my Celebrex but I can do it. I just won't be very nice to be around for a few days before and probably a few days after. LOL. I keep on wondering what liquids I need to have at home when I arrive. I know I can send DH to get some things but I'd rather gather things up now than depend on him. I have some broth in cans and also the concentrated kind (chicken and beef and tomato). Guess I need to get some Crystal Light, huh? Please someone give me some hints.

Blessings.

there's a post-op shopping list somewhere around here - i'll look for it and bump it up for you.

and a STRONG SUGGESTION - avoid tomato soups. they're very high in carbs [bet you didn't know that!]. they may go down easily, but the risk of dumping is VERY HIGH and you'll never want to have that happen again!

Thanks. I appreciate the info. I have some green tea here and I haven't tried it yet and glad to know about the tomato soup. It's sort of a staple around here, so I will avoid that. The veggie sausage patties? When would I begin eating those? I'm willing to try anything once. LOL. I must be since I got myself in the shape I'm in. Huh? LOL. Seven more days to go. Whoopee.
