Sara,

I know you said this is not your first child, but I wanted to prepare you for the fact that you probably won't lose that much weight on the day of the delivery. In fact, you will probably lose LESS than the baby actually weighs! For sure if you are on any kind of IV....I also had more swelling after my children were born than while I was pregnant....and that lasts for a couple of weeks.

With my twins I only gained 14 lbs. Together they weighed almost 9 lbs, so I really expected to lose a lot the day of delivery (I had 2 placentas for crying out loud!!)....nope, didn't happen. One of them was born naturally and the other by emergency C-section in which I was knocked out. Anyway, after their birth I weighed more than I did BEFORE they were born. That weight was temporary and because of my experience with my first child, I wasn't very surprised.

Best wishes and CONGRATULATIONS on your baby!!

This is true-I had a ton of IV fluid pumped into me (because my first two deliveries were induced, and they put the medication in the IV fluid) and with my third baby I had to have IV fluid so they could give me blood pressure medication.

Each time I had multiple pints put in me, and it takes about a week for it to all go through your body and process out through your urine. *laughing*

I couldn't wear any shoes other than flip-flops for a week-good thing it was August. I told DH I had feet like Fred Flinstone.

Thats interesting Ladies...
My three children were all induced ( for various reasons) and when I got home 24-48 hours later I was down 15-20lbs each time. I was pumped with IV fluids each time ~ until I had them. Maybe I urinate well HA! HA! Now this one, at this point, looks like a C-section so it will be interesting to see the difference. But thank you for the insight, I might of been diappointed if there was not a huge change like the last ones.

It's amazing, it took me almost a year to lose 39 lbs and only 31 weeks to gain 37lbs. Please if anyone has information ( good or bad) let us know so we can make an educated chose on this diet.
Hi Sara, I just wanted to know if you started the Medifast and how you are doing on it. I just started and my blood sugar has already gone down to normal.

A friend of mine is researching Medifast and thinking of buying a month. I thought I'd like to try the 90-calorie banana creme shakes as I'm currently wild for Muscle Milk's High Protein Banana Creme Shake after workouts but the calories are so high.

Could anyone comment on how the MF shakes actually taste as compared to Muscle Milk (if you use this supplement) or Slimfast (which I like taste-wise but don't think is healthy).

I really like prepackaged protein shakes during the hot weather and after workouts.

Hi! I'm new here, and I am on Medifast. I thought it would be good to get in with a support group. I've lost 28 pounds in almost 7 weeks. I hope to get to know you!

I'll be interested to see how everyone does. I am awaiting my order of New Lifestyle Diet which is similar to Medifast but gets very few complaints as far as taste goes. The customer service is awesome too, the company is owned by a man who removed 100 lbs on a liquid diet. You might want to check into it, just Google and it's there at the top Best Wishes to us all!

P.S. You get 9 "meals" if you're going full fast or 5 and a Lean and Green if not.

Hello Everyone,
I had my son on 7/13 ~ he weighed 11lbs. 6 oz. I am so glad the whole preg/labor/delievery phase is over. I am not fond of those parts. I truely believe the stock should bring our babies ! LOL
I lost 28 lbs. in the first 10 days. Now cames the work...
I believe tomorrow I will start medifast. How is everyone doing on it?

I'm a newbie. Hello.

I am seriously considering getting this diet. I just got my info packet in the mail.

When I go back to school, I will definately be doing this diet full time.

Thank you for your time to write the post about your experience, it is an inspiration to the rest of us. I don't understand why someone would flame you for writing about your personal experience. And what worked for you.
I have ordered Medifast and received my first supply.
However I am going on vaction on the 19th of this month and I think that I will wait until I get back to start.
I also bought a bullet blender (2 units) one for work and one for the house.
I am exited at the prospect because I have a stressful job with no breaks and I will be able to run and make a shake real quick, or make soup quickly and go back to my desk, easy and quick.
Have also been on Byetta the last 4 days and feeling a little queasy and haven't eaten much at all.
Thanks you for taking the time to write so the rest of us can read.

I LOVE the Medifast program. I am doing fabulous and I do not think of it as a liquid diet at all. I make my packages into brownies, pita bread, cookies, muffins, etc. I can use capella drops to make a vanilla shake into a berry one if I want, and can use Walden Farms 0 cal, 0 carb, 0 fat items like the marshmellow dip and add it to my pudding for little frozen bon bons... It's awesome - I have lots of recipes. I just found a buddy so if you are on Medifast or are looking to join - I can use all the buddies I can get! Have a great day!
