I've turned down "employee appreciate free ice cream" day at work before. And I was the only one who did so. I couldn't care less what my coworkers thought about it. My body, my choice.

But it wasn't really an issue. I've found that once people realized I was losing weight and keeping it off, they're respectful of the choices I have to make to acheive that.

That's true. I'm mildly lactose and egg intolerant (until the chocolate comes out, then it's "Intolerance? What intolerance?" ) I do hate it though when you go to a party and there's very little to eat if you've got allergies or intolerances. Choices should be avaliable for people who can't or won't eat that sort of thing and, if those choices aren't provided, then it's their own fault if they get disappointed or angry because you've decided to provide your own!
