  • Quote: Hey Bill, don't sweat it you'll get going again. I always keep a protein bar (not the IP ones they are too tasty) ready for emergencies. I like the Doctor's CarbRite bars. I am still pretty active with my son's ice hockey, ball hockey and baseball practices and I get pretty run-down pretty quick on IP. I wolf down a bar and my energy (and senses) pop right back. A couple of bars when needed are a cheat I can handle!
first time I have ever been weak like that...after eating my head cleared up but good lord that chicken played havock on my stomach...shutdowns at work are non stop balls to the wall work for 16 hours so I got drained quick...
on a side note my 15 year old and I have started back working out at gym(light weight just for muscle tone)...this is second week
  • WI this morning... Down 1! After the weekend I had it was a win. Puts me at 200 flat. Official Onederland next week.
  • nice
  • Gotta Keep the Men on the front page Officially hit my halfway mark this week.. Hate to sound like a fanatic about it but I am so excited and want to tell everyone about IP... I have to remember everyone has their own motivation...

  • My weigh in this morning showed a 12 pound loss, which is really nice to see after over a two week stall. So that makes a total loss of 67 pounds in 9 weeks.

    Have a good day gents.
  • Awesome work lads!!

I had a naked weigh in of 232 this morning! Life has gotten almost a bit surreal these days. I honestly have trouble remembering the big me!!

I'm a pretty tall guy who also has broad shoulders so I carried my 285 pretty well so losing this much weight has caused a pretty drastic change! Everyone is commenting and my mother-in-law has actually suggested I stop, that I am looking too skinny! Wow!!

I went in to buy baseball pants and actually large fitted the best 32-36" but I decided to go with XL 36-40" because I put slider compression pants underneath (I'll have a bit of a Manny Ramirez look with the baggy pants). The crazy thing is that I looked damn good in baseball pants now!

The biggest thing that I have taken from this whole, crazy ride is that the number one thing is commitment. It doesn't matter if its IP, WW, Atkins or whatever...if you don't commit 100% it doesn't work and that is what I tell everyone. I remember "dreaming" weight loss...go for a 5 min walk and think that is gonna help (as I wolf down a Big Mac)!

I think the reason that there is great numbers for all you guys is that the light bulb went off...you guys did it, you guys wanted it that much more! All of my buddies want it but aren't willing to earn it. That is the difference between those guys and anyone who is reading this post right now!!! Dudes, I can't freakin' believe we are doing it!!!

The big 5-0 is in my sight right now...can't wait!!

Dude, 67lbs in 9 weeks is absolutely incredible...that is "poster child for IP" material!!
  • I've got some before and after pics coming. In my 285+ days I never liked my pic taken but a friend who has an annual party sneaks around with a camera so he is forwarding me some "before" pics.

Same here. I was the photographer.. so I conveniently was out of most pics.. or I would hide behind my kids.. so its a challenge to find many in my "full" glory if you know what I mean but I got a few.. really amazing when you think about it. Funny thing is I feel like I am becoming the person I have always felt I was... at least in my mind.. just didnt look like this on the outside.
  • Congrats everyone. And thanks for the encouragement. Had my WI today, down another 7 to 246.2! Pretty stoked. 41# in 7 weeks though. But, was told I need to slow down at gym. Lean mass went down. Not taking enough protein in. Your thoughts? I am not losing very many inches, just pounds. The inches don't bother me, I am, and always have been, a big guy. Just would like to lose the belly. Coach said I should be at 6 packets on gym days. But, I am happy.
  • You know what the men freakin rock!!!

Leadedge is so right, we have made up our minds and there is no stopping! I am so proud of what all you guys have done. When people ask about this diet I always talk about not just my success but about each one of you. Have some really big guys as friends and I have been sharing each of your stories.. Just wanted you to know you are helping support people way beyond this sight.

As we say in the south... get er done!
  • I guess I am getting used to the food because I just had the 'fine herb' omelet and I remember not being impressed with it the first time but tonight I was very glad to have it

Cheated once on Monday but back on track and back in ketosis.
  • Week 12 WI today and back on track at -3. Officially in the 180s. Should hit goal by my planned Phase Off date of Jun 15!
  • Cheated twice in one week will make sure I am still down 2-3 lbs though.
  • Got bad news at my weigh in today.... The 2 big losses I had in the last 2 weeks were because the scale was broken. So I gained 8 lbs this week. I knew there was something up as my scale was only 1 lbs different and then 2 weeks ago there was a big difference. They bought a new scale.
