Hello Gals. I had great plans for the garden today and I did make it out there but not as early as I wanted. I fell back to sleep after DH got up and never woke up until 8 o'clock so it was around 9 before I made my appearance outside. I hung up a line of clothes first and then DH was home and helped dig up the peonies and transplant them in another area. I know it's almost too late or the wrong season but it had to be done. If they die I'll get more or maybe not. He mowed down the rest of the plants by the house as I didn't want them and tomorrow or sometime soon he's going to dig everything up and I'm going to put down landscape material and cover it over with crushed rock. I'll leave a narrow boarder to plant a few annuals. I have more to do by the fence. Oh my, what a tangle over there! I found my Irises and cleaned them out a bit but they need more work. I have other plants there that are completely covered in but I'll find them. We only worked for 1 1/2 hours as its hot today, over 30 degrees C (over 80 F). I think I burned my eyes as they were stinging for about 2 hours after we came in. I dug out my sunglasses and will wear them from now on. If we can get in an hour or so every fine day we'll have everything done by June. It's supposed to rain tomorrow but if it isn't in the morning I'll get more done. I hope removing the plants by the house will cut down on the earwig problem this year.
Cindy Gail, get rid of those treats!

I can't have potato chips in the house or I'm like a maniac. They are my crack cocaine. The only way I'll bring them in the house is if we are having a large group of people who will eat them or occasionally I'll buy DH and myself each a small personal sized bag. I can't even buy a box or bag of the small sized chips to dole out because I'll sit down and open every bag and eat them all in one sitting. So clear out the cake and cookies and only bring them in the house when you know they will be eaten by more than you.
Rosey, lovely pictures of your GS's grad. You must have been very proud grandparents. And, yes as someone mentioned, your daughter is very much like you. Two pretty women.
Mary, 4-5 pounds in a month is really good. If we could do that every month we'd lose around 60 pounds in a year.
Freda, I must have been exhausted, for sure as I never have a nap. Hope you're having a good day and getting lots done.
Amarantha2, LOL about the sticky eggs. I don't like the Cadbury eggs but I know what you mean about messy, sticky chocolate.
Gayle, good for you not succumbing to that bucket of salty treats. I don't know if I'd have had as much will power because I'm all about the salty treats. I could leave the candy. I love the idea of

for each day treat free.
Carol Sue, those tent trailers are quite comfortable. The sides that stick out hold the platform for a sponge mattress which is a sight bit more comfortable than an air mattress flat on the ground. They also have a kitchen table and a stove. Friends of ours had one, too.
How many of you remember pin curls? You know how you twist a strand of hair around your finger and then pin it in place with a couple of bobby pins. Ha, ha. I'm sitting here with my hair done up in pin curls just for the heck of it. I remember my mother and aunt doing their hair that way and they'd do mine too, but I was very young. I stumbled across pin curls on youtube a few days ago and thought I'd take a stab at it. As it's a nice hot breezy day and I'd just washed my hair I took the plunge and did the curls. I look just like I remember my mom looked with the pins in her hair.
Well, I'll catch you all later. Hugs to all of you. Hope your day is as pleasant as mine.
