I am STILL STUCK AT 130.8!!! I ate pretty well yesterday- around 1400 by the end of the day. This marks over one week at 130.8. Grrrr! So tired of the 130s....

I honestly think I might go mental. I ran 11K yesterday. 11K!! And today, guess what number my scale read? 132.2!! Again! WHY WHY WHY?? Ok, I must calm down. Its only a number. But seriously, what am I doing wrong ?

That must extremely suck. I remember reading Valerie Bertinelli's book she wrote about Jenny Craig and as she neared her goal weight she was working like crazy with a personal trainer and the harder she worked the more the scale wouldn't budge. You're right, it's only a number but what a frustrating number. Are you eating enough cals? Another suggestion, not that you might want to invest in it at this stage of the game, but have you ever considered a Bodymedia Fit armband that will actually calc the calories you are burning?

Ugh, cat, I'm sorry! Trust me, I absolutely understand.

I did see a loss today, yesterday I drank even more water than I usually do, I probably drank around 14 glasses and yes, I pee'd all day long and super long pee's, my co workers must have been wondering what the heck I was doing in and out of the bathroom all day. I'm not sure if that's what finally made the number go down or not, but something changed and I dropped to 131.6. How much water are you consuming, cat? I'm rootin' for ya from afar!

Well it's been 12 days that I've been bouncing around 137.something. I'm getting a little tired of it. Everyday I wake up and think, I feel good I look good and this is the day that I hit 136 and go over the 70lb loss mark....then my scale has something to say about my positive attitude.

Oh well, I'm off to the gym, maybe I'll see 136 tomorrow...fingers crossed

So odd, so many of us in this thread are stuck at the moment or not where we feel we should be for all our effort.......hopefully consistent losses are in our futures!

I think Im drinking a pretty substantial amount of water! I pee all day long!But it appears my measurements are going down cos I was down to a UK size 10 today in jeans! WOO! I am going to up my water intake and hope that helps a bit. Soon we will all be into the 120's thread!

Indiblue--You only went up .2, that's great! You're so close to the 120's you'll be there soon! I know it's frustrating though

The only thing that can keep me from weighing daily is being really sick, which I am. I got strep throat on vacation and was delirious! I hope to never get that sick again! I'm feeling much better, but still sick now and it's killing me that I can't go to the gym....or barely move much at all lol.

Oh and I was back up to 137.8 this morning from 136 My guess is it's a combo of extra sodium from eating out on vacation, and retaining water from strep throat. All I've been able to eat the last few days is broth and soft things. I did partake in some french fries on vacation (*cough cough twice). I'm still not able to eat much, so hopefully these few days of my germ induced VLC diet will get me back down. But I hope I can eat again soon. I'm so sick of puddings, jell-o, and soup

You guys, I am having the worst time with weight loss right now. Ugggh. I FINALLY was at 138 last week but towards the end of the week TOM came and I went back up to 139 and have been there ever since.

This is so frusterating...

Hi WF...weren't we about the same in the 140's like months ago? It's comforting to know we're still stuck around the same weight, because it's soooo slow, even though I feel like I'm working so hard. I just look at it this way, at least the next time I have TOM, I won't bounce up to the 140's. 1 pound difference means everything, so I know how frustrating it is! Just hang in there, keep up the good habits, and I"ll do the same Did you ever start lifting weights? I bet a change in your routine might jump start you?

Hi pinkflower - yeah, we were in the 140's thread together. I was waiting until i saw 138 to join this one, because I had lots of 139 days followed by 140 or 141 days...from Christmas until about 2 weeks ago I was all around there.

I've finally reached 138/139, but thought that meant that I was on my way to 137 and am disapointed to be back up to 139 again. So frusterating...things were so easy for me to get from 152-143 and the last 5 lbs (143-138) have been impossible! And I am only at the half way mark, I still have 13 lbs to go...From November until now I've lost those last 5 lbs, with the first 9 being in October, the first month I was dieting. I finally started to take a break in December/January because I was so frusterated with everything.

Anyway, thanks for the encouragement. I haven't started up with the weight training yet...my gym was closed for months due to a flood and I haven't gotten back into any sort of routine yet.

I found my quote in this thread from 11/11/10. I wasn't exaggerating about those snails!

I have been off any diet wagon now pretty much since Thanksgiving. I have been traveling for business since after Christmas and have had more than my fill of bad airline/airport/hotel convenience mart/conference food and no exercise to speak of!

But oddly enough, I haven't really gained any weight! 136.4 today.
but I have to say that it's a little discouraging that it took me months and months and months of hard work to get that low last autumn only to find that I maintain there without trying. Something is wrong with this scenario.

So maybe I'm not pigging out as much as I thought I was, even though the food choices were not ideal? I can only hope that I have learned something... and that I got enough exercise walking everywhere?

AND - my clothes are definitely fitting more snugly so I definitely have more fat on me than I did when I weighed the same three months ago. Gotta get back on the exercise wagon.

Also still hoping to ever see 129 again. Ugh.

EmmaD I found the same thing...I took a "break" from mid - December to mid January. I went from 139 to 140, saw a few days at 141, but most were 140. I started back up dieting and went back down to 139 within a week and then to 138 and have now stalled again.

It was hard to lose, but easy to maintain...I took a break because of the holidays we had so many family gatherings, parties, etc and then I was travelling for work a lot in Dec/Jan and got sick both months.

Why are you so upset it was easy to maintain if you were eating whatever you wanted? Or maybe I didn't catch that right? I found that my clothes feel a bit tighter too, but for me I think it's water retention. After a few great on plan days they'll feel all lose again.

Yes, we truly are all stuck. Emma I love the snails. That's how I feel right now. Fortunately I was at 130.6 this morning, so a .2 drop. Still at this rate, .2 lbs per week? Yikes!

I can't drop my calories any lower- I'm counting and I'm currently at 1200-1300 a day. Today I did an an intense advanced yoga class so I have to eat more than that. Water: drinking three or four 750 ML bottles a day. I guess I can always drink more, but I'm pretty sure there's a law of diminishing returns that I'm hitting where I really will get only marginal benefit from drinking more.

My fingers are crossed for all of you!! Hopefully soon we'll all be able to flutter into the 120s thread and this one will be dead, dead, dead!
