  • I'm BAAAACK! I'm well up for the moonwalk if you girlies are doing it too!?

I bought lots of lovely clothes in Utrecht, even though I was shuffling round like an old woman! My legs don't feel too bad today, I'm even going kickboxing tonight! I don't know about the gym though, I'll see. I might do some "active recovery!"

I will post some piccies later on. I got Kylie to take one of me in my shirt and medal before I hit the shower! Unfortunately I didn't take the camera to the stadium, but I think I got snapped crossing the finish line by an official photographer, so that should be a good one!

Well apart from the Half Marathon, I've got nothing to report I have less than three weeks till the wedding, so I'm eating nothing!

Right, I am off to check out the Moonwalk site and register
  • Are you getting married too 2frsutrated ?

    Teresa
  • Veggie, I hope your man flu goes soon. There must be something going round because I had a 24 hour flu bug thing the other day while the plumbers were here.

Jen, well done on your run! Looking forward to the piccies.

Helen, fingers crossed your legs recover in time for the running club.

Lou, ouch about your neck, poor you!

Katie, yes, you should be able to do it in 7 months. Just make sure you've got a good bra, good shoes and some good music to listen to. A pedometer is useful but not essential. Start off easy and increase your pace / distance slowly - perhaps make a chart to follow - and try to train on a regular basis. Good luck!!!

I can't believe how much hungrier I am on 1500 calories than I ever was on 1800 to 2000 - I hope I get used to it soon! I think I'm going to have to go to the doctor about my hip problem.
  • Here's the pic of me on the houseboat!

  • And I just found this one on the ING website

That's me crossing the finish line! I look a bit puffed!
  • That's a lovely photograph, you look great, you don't look like you've just run a marathon - well done
  • Thats a great pic 2frustrated congratulations on your run.

    Teresa

  • I'm in the purple top on the left of the photo...
  • You are looking fine and unlike the others who are serious or grimacing you look like you are smiling at the camera!
  • 2 frus is looking good too! How is it when I exert myself I look like a beetroot that's been in a monsoon (sweat that is). Everyone else just has a healthy glow!
  • Helen you look fabby and totally the "pro runner" that you are!!!

What was your time BTW? i forgot to ask - too busy being worried about my legs!

Oh yeah, and where do we find our official times?
  • Clicky here

My time was 2:00:29. I'm disappointed with those 29 seconds - I thought it would be around 2 hours, but I'd rather have been under than over!

The orange and yellow combo looks great by the way, better than my orange medal and maroon t-shirt on the way home...

By the way, could you tell the runners on your flight? It was very funny on mine seeing the people whose legs had obviously seized up while they were on the plane trying to get off it again...
  • And you can get to the videos through that link too
  • Wow, great pics! Shoulda got one of me lazing about ha ha.

I'm up for the moonwalk. That should be a laugh (just remind me I said that when I nursing blisters the next day)

I've been trundling up the road with my granny trolley moving stuff to my friends house. It's been fun!

And I'm back at work, it's quiet today, and everyone is leaving me alone! It's good!

My "relative position" is just about last!
