Carla - no that wasn't Sunday the cat. I went to Google site and asked for a range of pictures of happy birthday. The cat came up at about the fourth page. It had a couple of things extra on it and the message covered up some of those and I deleted the name on the polo shirt. If you look closely at the picture you'll see some strange dark patches where the name used to be. Impossible to guess at the folds in the material. Paint is a good programme for things like that. Can't see you dressing Lily up - Zen might be a bit more reasonable - after all he quite happily wears a harness.
Yes I could mute the volume on the programme you are right but I need sound for some other things - it's easier to whinge and turn it off than be reasonable about it.

Happy - you are going to excel at your excel class??? I never got the same teacher twice in any of my microsoft stuff - and they all had differing ideas on beginners, basics, advanced etc.

Ceejay - guess we meant refilling the drums - not humping them around.

And I'm outa time. Gotta go get on with it. Todays joys revolve around the portal and the sheer stupidity of it. And now I'm told that we are not giving out any paperwork with our training because they can look it up electronically. Yep okay. yes i have finally gotten round to bringing my butt online and posting ,things here as usual are very hectic but im being a good girl and admitting that my online gaming is probably too blame ,i started playing warcraft about a year ago to spend more down time with hubby and now i am thoroghly addicted ,good fun loads of people to talk to and hey im good at it .
kids are doing well ,craig is 18 now and still being his usual pain in the rear flitiing between jobs and girlfriendsso nothing new there,conner is still growing and now towers over the whole family and hes still a laid back calm mellow guy ,christopher ,,,,well hes still christopher lol he doesnt sleep all night yet but hes sooo clever and his talking for 2 year old is amazing .
Me and andrew seem to be getting over the worst of our marriage hiccups its taking time and a bucket load of effort but at least i can leave the house now for five minutes without him thinking ive had an affair.
Shad will be pleased to hear we finally got half the back garden done and christopher is now the proud owner of a playhouse he absolutly adores and he also likes chucking gravel around lol,will pop back online later and read back some more pages and catch up properly and pm some people just to make sure my address list for xmas cards is up to date ,posting some pics of my boys and speak to you all soon

Howdy gals...... well I made my 400 mile trip last night in the moonlight with my mutts and did my last report..... hurrah! Didn't see many critters either to avoid on the highway which was a blessing! Took this morning off to regroup and get ready for mytrip tomorrow to go see my new guy!..... wow do I have butterflies or what.... any hoo he has been so funny and sweet when we speak or write emails....he has an english sheepdog so we are simpatico with the dog thing...... yeah! I am dropping off Darby at the kennel but he will just be there for one night so he will be alright. GOsh my attachment to these canines...crazy!
The day is gorgeous and I have dog grooming to get on with and packing to sort out..... thanks for the safety thoughts you sent me ....I felt them!

Hershey dashed through the house looking for Lucy as soon as we got home late yesterday afternoon. Made me feel sad. We were both in bed by nine - travel is tiring for old farts like me!

Today I'm tackling a backlog of phone calls, email and real mail. I am also about to tackle Bell Canada! I lost my cell phone in GA and want to cancel my service. Can't do it because our Bell Account is in Harry's name and he has to phone in! Oy! I am off to town (like I needed more driving!) and will present them with my power of attorney and get the damned thing straightened out. So stupid! I've only been paying the phone bill since 1983.

After that, I plan to sit and admire the wonderful quilting fabric I bought in the States and plan some quilts!

Linus - just great to see you back again. I was going through some of my old PM's last week - I'm running out of space with them, so decided to delete. I came across that old one I sent to Connor after his hamster passed away. Now that was awhile ago. I sat there thinking about you and wondering whether a phone call was in order and then decided it was around 4.am your time so no way. Then lo and behold you appear on here! Nice photos - the boys are definitely growing up. Has Craig become more responsible now that he is over the age where you have to answer for him??? Christopher looks a real handful! but I'm pleased you got some of the garden done for him.

Ruth - this lot can be long and loud from time to time. Sometimes you have time to reply to all and sometimes not. Just pop in and keep us up to date when and where possible - we'd miss you if you disappeared. Poor Hershey. She really is missing Lucy isn't she. Hope she has settled down now. Sunday was in mourning for Shad for quite a while - not true when they say that animals don't remember things after a short period of time. I seem to remember she took over Shad's bed and dinner bowl and fought DS2 when he took the bowl away from her.

Well a bit more of the same ol same ol here today for me. It all seems to be coming together, thank heavens. We have the first three courses ready to go, well the first two are definitely ready the third is nearly there, just needs a push over the line. Then there's one causing a bit of a worry and then the next two are sort of fine. I have a problem with the next one but other than that they are going along quite well. It may well be that we will not have to write doco at the same time as we are racing to the classroom to teach.

Looking forward to going home tomorrow night even though the weather is not supposed to be much good for the weekend. I will be able to shop and paint. Shop because I am looking for a new dishwasher and a new oven and cooktop. The kitchen goes in next!!! I think we will also pack up some of the kitchen and move some of the cupboards and then we need to find a storage place for DS2's stuff and mine which is about to be displaced. DS2 has rented his house out and is now permanently in mine which means I can rest a bit easier about the cat. He's been getting quotes for me from a drawing I did some time back - we will make the final decisions this weekend and at Christmas no doubt.

DS1 and partner are here in Perth the following weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing them again. They've both changed jobs since I last saw them. DP will be studying for some exams - she's doing accountancy or economics or something equally exotic. DS1 did a sideways new job to the help desk at the University of South Australia - which he doesn't have the patience for! I don't know if you ever heard the old joke about the bod who didn't realise computers wouldn't work without electricity (I told you it was old) and finally the help desk lost their cool and said that the user should pack it back in the box and send it back to the shop - oh said the user, that bad is it? - yes, said the help desk, you're too stupid to own a computer. Well that joke was made about DS1, I'm sure of it. Anyway having started there a couple of weeks ago he now has a new job in the Infrastructure side of things. Much more up his alley as long as he doesn't have to deal with salesmen! He's not much good with them either.

So for the next few weeks it's all go. After that I will move from Perth to Karatha (Karachi as it is known here) during the week and Perth during the weekends unless I decide to stay over and do some sightseeing. Don't know what there is to see, will have to look it up. Pinnacle are up that way, but I've been there.

So with that, I'm off. Time to move along and decide what the chickens will do for the day. I've actually got them all moving in the same direction. Another herding dog might be nice. See ya

Shad - you write sympathy notes for hamsters? You are a real sweetie Have a good trip home. So you are renovating the kitchen are you? Sounds fun. Now if DS can manage to get it all done while you are away that would be lovely as the kitchen is the worse room to tear up. Excel class yesterday was ok but not as good as last week. I was eating my lunch next to a wall that had a giant map of the world on it. I never realized there are so many islands all around you. Actually in the Pacific, South Pacific and Indian Oceans. Guess when you're looking at a tiny map you lose all that detail. Australia was the size of half the tabletop so I was able to easily see all the towns you have been telling us about including Groote Eylandt. Did you feel like someone was watching you yesterday?

Ruth - glad you're back safe and sound. New quilting materials sound very very nice! Good winter project. Keep checking in with us.

Gotta get back on the healthy eating track. I braved the scale again this morning; my ticker is lying but not by much.

Need to do an egg for Hershey who is on a hunger strike since I got back. Methinks it's delayed mourning for Lucy as my old journal shows the same thing when Libby died. Poor doggie!
