  • okay day 15 and I am on track raring to go. Had some temptation today with carbs but managed to derail it by eating some fruit. down 11 lbs now! must keep going--someone said it took them 4 weeks to really get in the groove--I think that is right am doing pretty good and settling in but the more I do it the easier it becomes.
  • Have a great day everyone!

    Week of 7/10 - 7/16 - 222.4 (-1.8)
    7/17 - 222.4 (-0.0)

Snobrocade: I had the weirdest cravings last night as well; however, I stayed with my eating plan and even though I had the cravings I was not hungry. I thought it would be a total waste to go out and get that feeling of eating until you're well over-stuffed....the thought of that feeling stopped me :-)
Great job on being down 11lbs. I don't know how long it took me to get into the "groove" but it's been about 60days for me now.

Have a great day everyone!!! :-)

  • DAY 50 ~ 19.8lbs down

Plus I jogged 7 MILES today
  • Hi everyone. I'm back after sulking in the corner for a while. I went camping over the 4th and it was a blast. I was on plan for almost all except one day (if I recall) and did a very active day to compensate. I weighed in after two awesome weeks and expected RESULTS! I got a big fat ZERO. I've been pouting ever since. I didn't weigh in this weekend because it was my TOM. I figured--what's the point?

I will share that because of this thread (and the 40's support group, too) I didn't give up. I kept at my calorie and exercise plan. I just was pouting while still doing my thing. In other news, I was doing positively which did help. Keeping up one's spirit during small and large adversity is a constant effort on my mind.

I am thinner and I've lost 5 inches overall since the last time I weighed in. So even if there's no weight change, I know my body is firming up. I feel great, which is a huge point to this whole process.

A shout out to LGW for the quote you shared: "Everyone must suffer 1 of 2 things - the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment." (author unknown). Congrats on the success on the scale.

Also congrats to Sno for the success.

    Envelope, did you go camping?

Way to go everyone. I really like this thread (and I'll try not to take my marbles home in a huff when the scale refuses to budge).
  • I would like to join in on the 100 day challenge. I need the focus to try and lose the stubborn pounds.

  • I lost one more pound last week. I am shrinking just a tiny bit every week.
And my clothes are much more comfortable now.

Best of luck to all this coming week!

  • Day 18
    Hi all:

well it feels like I have been doing this forever and even tho I have had good results so far, with all the effort I have expended it feels like I should be done already!!

However, I have made my commitment to 100 days and I will continue on.

I need to remind myself I have been gaining and losing the same 20 lbs for the last few years and I want to break that cycle and attain my goal. It is way past time!

I wanted to share with you all that I think taking omega 3 really helps with weight loss--and it is good for you too.

    Welcome to Neko!

iardajnos: glad you are back--sorry you were disappointed. I think the hardest part of being on a weight loss plan is when the loss slows and stops. or the scale even shows an increase when you know you have been very good. I was reading about stalling the other day and one tactic they talk about is mixing things up when on a stall--such as changing exercise since the body gets used to doing the same thing, eating different foods and or mixing up the proportion of carbs proteins and fats.

LGW: I tend to crave stuff with white flour in it like crackers etc. those are diet poison for me, I gain very easily with even very small portions of that type of food. It is one of the rules I am trying to follow on this plan and I have been moslty sucessful--I allowed myself a half handful of oyster crackers the other night cuz I felt nauseous. 60 days!! you are awesome!! keep it up my friend, it is so worth it.

    cheers all

    have a wonderful 100% day!

  • Snobrocade: We can do it! I think logging in here daily provides me with significant accountability. I've only been on here a couple weeks and I notice that the logs trickle down on the weekend as people stray from their routines and then you get all of these "weekend craving" post on Monday. I think everyone needs to log in on the weekends and accept responsibilty for their actions at all times...especially with this trend I have noticed in only 2 wks of being on site :-)
