Carol Sue I am so sorry about your wrist. I have that with my neck. I have a pillow I sleep on and sometimes it helps and then all of a suddenly it will not work at all. In fact, sometimes it seems like it makes it worse. For me I think it must have something to do with how I lay. I notice that now that I sleep without getting up so often during the night that I must stay in one position too long.
My most recent thing is the place where I got my flu shot sometimes feels like I it did when I was a kid and got a booster shot. It feels like I've use a muscle around it too much. It has been too long since I got the shot so I'm thinking that I must be turning on my side and laying on it during the night. As long as it doesn't get any worse, I can live with it. Thank God for Tylenol and Ibuprofin for my neck. I know I'm not supposed to use the Ibuprofin, but sometimes I just have to because it is all that works.
Rain finally let up sometime last night, but is due to hit us again later today. I was hoping the health center would make a run to Walmart for Daddy and others that go each week, but I guess they don't trust the weather. Monday thru Wednesday this next week is supposed to be nice so hopefully he will get to go then.
DBIL is pain free. DS said they put some kind of shot into the wound that takes care of the pain. Weird, but I guess it is good that he is pain free. They did the same thing with my niece when she had her surgery.
I ditched the old sauerkraut that I made because it wasn't making any bubbles and I decided that being packaged I didn't know what was in it. Yesterday when I went to the store I got an organic head of cabbage. I was going to get a red head too but it was so expensive for a non-organic head of cabbage. The head I got was small so I only got 2 jars out of it but I now have 2 jars of quality sauerkraut making. It started working right away. I only added just enough filtered water to cover the cabbage. I've decided to wait a week before trying it. I think I will start making it and keeping a newer batch going all the time. DH is so picky but I sure hope he will like this because it will be so good for his gut.
My FBS was 156 and weight was back down to 220.6. I sure hope I can keep it going. Not eating at night does work so well. I pretty much decided to eat like I was doing CAD before they told me I couldn't eat some of the things I was eating on the CM. It was my understanding that a CM is a low carb meal. When I put things in MFP, my breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast was low carb. Not CAD low carb, but low carb none the less. I always called my plan a modified CAD plan so that is what it will be from now own. Doing it this way also made it much easier for me to do just 2MAD. I do so need to stay at the 2MAD. If I can do this then this is exactly what I should be doing.
I went to the store and looked at the brand of butter that my cousin uses in her coffee and at almost $4 for 8 oz, I decided that I decided to just use what I have. I'm sure it is probably a better quality but too expensive for me. However, I got to thinking about it and I guess if I am going to use it only 3x a week maybe it wouldn't be bad. I will have to see. It is pure Irish butter and I don't know anything about their stuff if it is really Irish. I had my butter coffee this morning. I will wait and drink it again on Saturday as I will get into a habit of drinking it only on 3 days that I don't go anywhere just in case it affects me like the coconut oil coffee did.
Not much going on today. I've got a pot of spaghetti in the crockpot. I don't like the way DH likes making chili and spaghetti because he and his 1st wife made stuff just using canned products. When I cooked for Hubby #2 and our kids, I always made everything from scratch. Now it is just the 2 of us and it is easier to go the easy way. We get 2 meals from the chili when we make it and we will probably get 3 meals out of the spaghetti. I will add a salad along side it and also add some shredded Parmesan cheese to the spaghetti. I don't know why, but I read years ago in a Prevention book on diabetes that they didn't know why but Parmesan cheese makes certain foods diabetic friendly.
I'm trying to get used to eating my fruit and yogurt with what CAD calls a RM. I also read the other day that when you replace 1 serving of grains with what comes to about 2 oz tree nuts that it lowers bs. So I have also added a serving of grains with 2 oz nuts along with RM as a dessert. I think the fat in the nuts at lunch may be why I didn't get hungry last night. I do aim at not having more than 5 servings of grains. Seldom have 5. Hopefully this will help me to stay within a 5 hr eating window most days.
Fatmad, Pipscile and Lurkers I hope y'all are doing well.
Have a great day.
