  • Hi All, I haven't posted in probably a year. I gained 30 pounds back and desperately want it gone. I've been doing alternatives for almost two weeks and it's really slow. My supplements were still good so literally the only thing different is the shakes. I'm debating going back to the "real" IP but nervous to see my coach, embarrassed really. I think I'll get the alternatives another week and then just lower my head and face my coach. There's no other clinic around me unfortunately so I wouldn't have a choice.
  • Hold Your Head Up
    Katie 8810:

Hold your head up high and go back to your clinic. They helped you originally and they will help you again. I felt the same way that you did when I went back. My coach actually praised me for returning and knowing that I needed to seek their guidance for my reboot. They see rebooters all day long.

Although my coach and others on this blog say that alternatives don't make a difference, I am finding that IP products produce better weight loss results. I've been pretty religious on the diet this week using alternatives and I even had the stomach virus 2 days which prohibited me from eating anything at all. I thought my weight loss would be big, but I was disappointed to see that it was only a couple of pounds.

Because I was sick and my kids are home from school for spring break and are eating everything in sight, I am having a hard time these last couple of days sticking to the protocol. I feel like I need crackers or toast to settle my stomach. My plan is to go back to the plan using IP products starting tomorrow.

This is a very hard diet. It works and we have all seen the results. Sometimes, I feel like it is too extreme and that is why it is so easy to fail on it. Again, though, I will try to reboot. It must be my 35th reboot, but who's counting? Each day is a new day.

I dont know your total wt loss journey, so maybe this will not apply. If you lost, say, 60 lbs last time, then you are losing the 'last' 30 lbs, not the same rate as the first 30. I think you'll lose just fine on alts if they match the IP macros closely. Good luck! I think the reboots are good opportunities to apply what we've learned from mistakes the first time.
  • I'm on week four of my reboot, I lost 8lbs so far. Not bad considering! Life gets in the way, stress....I thought it was bad when my father passed away last year, but I was able to maintain through all of that...as of recent I am dealing with a new family situation and it is proving to be even more stressful... BUT.... I got this!! Thank you ladies!!
  • Hi Everyone,
I'm a re-booter who did IP back in 2012. I lost about 30 pounds, kept them off for a year, then went through some life changes (move to a new city, unemployment, new job, grad school). I got really lazy with my eating and am now back at my original weight. I've attempted several re-starts on my own, but always failed after a week or two. I finally said "enough" and decided to give IP another try. I can only do this if I am accountable to someone and apparently if I spend a small fortune on their food. So I signed up with a clinic in my new city and started on 3/28/16.
Even though I haven't posted before, I have lurked for years. I get a lot of education and inspiration from all of you. There's a wealth of knowledge here. I'm looking forward to a second IP journey and know I have the power to do this. Only I stand in the way of my success!
  • So me again I last posted at the end of January saying I was going to start a reboot well easier said then done since then I must have started my reboot every Monday . BUT I am happy to announce I am going on to week 3 of 100% OP. I'm strong and starting to feel better in my skin glad to be back in so many ways
  • I can't believe how much IP has changed in a few years. I'm having my final snack of the day - the lemon wafers. They are divine and definitely don't feel like they should be OP. And the trail mix? That's also one of my fave go-to snacks. I love all the variety of the foods now. Before when I did the diet, I got really tired of the same old shakes and bars. I don't have as much time to cook as I would like so I tend to be a grab and go person. I can't wait to try some of the (new to me) other foods!
  • My reboot starts tomorrow. I did wonderfully on my first session. However, I had extensive illnesses and completely fell off the wagon(after losing all my weight). I have to be honest and did not go back when things improved. Fear was followed by apathy. I am ready and fully committed now. No excuses, and I can be the master at that!! I now weigh exactly the same as when I started on the initial program. My first coaching session starts tomorrow. My husband is on board(brings home goodies)!!! I am looking forward to feeling as healthy and happy as I did a few years ago!! A new journey starts!!
  • Hi everyone! Just want to say keep it up, you will get back to sleekness again! You all know how to do it.... take a deep breath and move forward one step, one meal, one day at a time.

  • Hi! I'm a repeat rebooted. I did well, with a little up and down for years. Had my MAJOR setback after both my parents died, 4 months apart in 2014. Turned to massive amounts of my favorite "substance."

I've been trying to get back on plan ever since. I really need some support. I'd like to do phase 1 for a few weeks to get reset but it's so hard. I have quit my favorite substance except in IP form of rtd shakes but another family problem sucked the life out of me. I seem to be eating too many "restricteds" and a glass of wine or cocktail with my husband which is fun but so not on plan. I'm going to start 100 per cent op tomorrow - I hope! Any words of wisdom out there?!
  • Hi DeeLee,

I am sorry that you are struggling. It is hard to start back on Phase 1, but once you get going it is fine. I am two months into my reboot and have lost 20 pounds. I am looking to drop 10 more pounds before phasing off. I too, am missing wine!

After my niece's wedding last August- I totally stopped working at maintaining. I had program fatigue and did not handle my slide well. I stopped separating carbs and fats and allowed sugar back into my daily diet. I got my self going again when my pants stopped fitting. I set a date to start and bit the bullet. The first week was miserable. But, I knew from the first time, that I did not perish from starvation, lol. I find that I am motivated by upcoming events so I set a new goal for my June trip to Italy. I really need to remember that the last 10 pounds are incredibly hard to get off, so that I stop myself at a slip!

I hope that knowing you are not alone in this experience helps. Figuring out why you want the weight gone helps too. For me, it is all about the clothes .
  • I also am back after losing 60 pounds in 2014 I have gained 30ish back! I faced my coach and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I am now on day 5 of phase one and its not easy that's for sure but we got this ladies we can do it we have done it before!!!!
  • Hi all! Thanks for the responses. It really does help to know that you're not in it alone, that it is hard at first but worth it! I'm trying to make today my first day OP phase 1. So no alcohol tonight! I will weigh myself tomorrow a.m. I haven't been weighing myself lately cuz I would get discouraged. I was going by the fit of my jeans. I did manage to go from skin tight 12s to comfortably fitting 12s but than hit a standstill. So I know it's time for the big guns - IP phase 1, 100 per cent on plan. It's approaching the time of day when I want to start eating and have a cocktail...I have to get this first day under my belt! Maybe I'll start seeing my coach again. Thanks everyone!
