Reboot started 3/12 after keeping it all off for 2 years! Gaining 13 lbs and getting to 150 was a huge STOP sign for me. I tried to go it on my own when the pounds started adding up - 3-4 after Xmas, 2-3 after NY eve, 4 after a Florida holiday. I'd have a couple of IP P1 days, but little cheats - a piece of cheese, a handful of potato chips, a bite of hubby's ice cream and before you know it, I hit 150 lbs. So totally focused now, on day 11 with no plans to cheat. My question is how to phase off. I think it's going to take 4-5 weeks to lose the 13 lbs - I lost 5 lbs last week but know that rate will slow significantly so expect it to take another 4 weeks to get to goal. Do I skip phase 2 and do several weeks of phase 3? How do you guys do it? I lost so much hair the first time, really freaked out about losing more. So I don't want to stay on the severely restrictive phase any longer than I truly have to but I was so successful the last time phasing off, living on P4 during the week with a cheat day on the weekend for 2 years. I want to ensure success but worried about the hair thing. Thoughts?
Lasted 6 days and failed on day 7 and again on day 8. Found myself very hungry and lacking energy. One small "cheat" (an extra bar), turned into pasta, bread and desserts. I want to lose weight and fit into my skinny clothes very badly. I don't know why I keep sabotaging myself!
Here I go again -- starting fresh. Hoping to last more than 6 days. This is not easy. Kuddos to those who are sticking to it.

UGH I feel ya! I did GREAT week one of my reboot, lost 5lbs, then sabotaged myself over the weekend. BUT I am back on track and that is what is important that we get back up and try again!! We did it before, we can do it again!!
Hi everyone. Starting over/rebooting. I recognize a lot of names. I didn't post much but found this group to be so helpful. I lost 70 lbs in 2013. Last year I had some health issues and a complete hysterectomy. I've gained about 45 lbs back. I felt terrific after losing the weight, and now feel sad and frustrated. I know you all know what I mean. I've been trying for about four months to focus on whole foods, 90% low carb, no sugar, very limited grains, no wheat, but it's not working. So here I am, day one.
I have a lot of leftover IP products and Nashua Nutrition products that expired in 2015. I just threw out the RTDs but do you all think the dry packets are safe to use? I don't plan to go back to my coach. I used one of the packets for breakfast this morning. I haven't had Splenda in a couple of years. Have been using Truvia or its equivalent. It didn't taste as good as I had remembered it, lol, so I don't know if it's because it's "aged" or my tastebuds.
Hello all; this is my first time posting in a VERY long time. I've been on and off IP for 2.5 years now. I've lost and gained the same 25 pounds about 5 times (no exaggeration). Getting older and developing health problems, and REALLY need to get serious. Started phase I yesterday... end of day 2... doing well so far... but I know the devil inside me will rear its ugly head at some point. Hoping that posting here and reading everyone's posts will help. Thank you everyone so much for your support!
Week two of reboot was rough, but I made it! I had a few slip ups, but I got right back on track. I even kept a food journal and showed it to my coach, which is progress for me! In the past if I had slip ups, I didn't journal them, and if I did, I sure didn't show my coach! I didn't get to weigh today though. I kept my granddaughter over night last night and she woke up with fever and vomited all over the car as soon as I pulled up to the clinic. poor honey. I called my coach and she brought my bag of food to the car for me and took a quick look at my journal. This week has been a week!! A seriously stressful week.
I hope you all have a good weekend and a Happy Easter.
I am focusing on my mind this time around. I am definitely self-sabotaging on getting going again. I am giving myself a small goal of getting to Monday 100% OP.
I dont even enjoy the carbs and sugar when I eat them- I eat them out of boredom and feel terrible after. Nothing but protein, veggies & fat will pass through my lips!!
Okay, Week 7 of my reboot. Down 17 pounds, 11 more to go. No cheats, but for the past two days I have been starving! Drinking a tone of herbal tea and water, but still growling Does not help that I am eating fish tonight for Good Friday.
Congratulations, Slipfree, on your success. You are inspiring the rest of us! I'm doing pretty good the last few days. Do you think IP alternatives such as EAS protein drinks and Quest bars make the weight loss slower than IP products? My coach says "no", but I'm not 100% convinced.
Going on Spring Break tomorrow. There will be a lot of temptation, but I'll try to stick to the program and make sure that I am well prepared with my products and veggies. Happy Easter!
I am still plugging away..six pounds lost in reboot so far. I am fitting into my pants again and still have a little ways to go to fit in all of them. I plan to end P1 in about 3 weeks.
You are so kind. Seem to be hitting a slow down and need to work through it. I remember on my first Phase 1, I went to weighing in every two weeks around this weight. Just have to focus on staying OP and let the scale do what it will.
Susie, I do not think alternatives effect losses. I just think there are less appealing non restrictived, I really like IP ready made drinks and the crisps. Not enough to pay 30.00 though! Wishing you luck on Spring break!
CO6- I eat out of boredom too. I have a rule, no food after 8:00, no matter what during Phase1. This rule really helps me avoid mindless eating.
Hi Murrcat! We are both plugging along. Congrats on the 6 pounds and looser pants. We can do this! Before long all of our goal pants will fit again
Hi Everyone,
I'm back. Things got bad last year, I just had no ambition to stick to the diet. After the holidays even my fat clothes barely fit. I haven't been 100% on IP, but have gotten back down to 131ish. Haven't been eating all low carb, but mostly been just focusing on portion control. If I have a treat, it's a small treat. For the most part it's worked really well, but I'm slowly starting to have a few too many treats and the closer I get to goal, the more strict I need to be, so decided to come back and have the accountability.
I haven't purchased IP products, mostly just doing alternatives, and more so a Phase 2 idea, one protein drink for breakfast, real food for lunch and dinner and then a protein bar sometime during the day for a snack/pre/post workout.
I started working out again 2 weeks ago, but now I'm picking up my intensity and starting to get back to 5-6 times a week. Even with my weight being lower than it's been in probably two years, I'm soft and need to tighten up.
