I'm finally getting close enough to Onederland that I feel I can post in this group. I'm 214.2 as of this morning. I've lost 78 pounds so far and am almost halfway to my goal with 79 pounds left to lose. 15 more pounds is all I need to officially hit Onederland. That will be a moment of PURE happiness and celebration.
  • Hello fellow Onederland pilgrims!

Congrats on the losses this week sonickel77, Claygirl1518, GettinFit, Wannabeskinny ( hope you feel better soon ), and berryblondeboys!

    Welcome aboard worththeeffort2!!

I'm at 227.5 this morning, 28 lbs to Onederland!!
  • Ugh. Back up to 206 today. I hate it when that happens! Just makes me feel like I've done something wrong, even though I know I havent!
  • Keep going, everyone!
    211 today.
  • Welcome Worththee! Congrats on losing 78 pounds What an awesome accomplishment.

Hang in there Claygirl, the scale will go down soon.

No change in weight for me today. Still at 220.8.
  • My best friend is moving to texas so we had a goodbye cheat night with her, the scale is up to 208 today, but I expected that! Started off this morning with a good green smoothie and already feeling a little better. It's honestly a good reminder how miserable I feel the next day when I only eat one bad meal now! My body just doesn't handle chips and beer anymore, and I'm fine with that. My green smoothies are delicious!

    Great job everyone!
  • Claygirl - Glad you're back on track after your cheat night.

I'm down just a bit today from 220.8 to to 220.4.

I hope everyone else is having a great Monday

Oh goodness this thread is NOTHING about being close to onderland (unlike the thread 2 teens into wonderland) this all about those of us who have this "thing" about that number. You could be 300 pounds and still have a psychological issue with the number of 200.

"Thanks Jasmine and congrats on your success. You are so close to onederland and you'll be there real soon."

    Thanks! So will you!!

    Claygirl1518

Look at you, ticker says 205 now!! Whoohooo!!

    sonickel77

    Keep up the good work!

"It's funny because we might go to Boston again and visit friends and family which we haven't seen since that time.... so that would mean, to them, I will look about the same. They will have missed me at 165 and missed me at 243. They will think I look stable, not this balloon that got deflated, re-inflated and deflating again."

I hear you. Nice to know I am not the only one who obsesses over that kind of stuff.

I have been tracking my weight off and on for years, mainly "off" when I am not on plan, except occasionally, and then religiously when I am "on" plan.

When I look back on pictures, I look to see how heavy I was and then run to see how much I weighed.

    I drive myself crazy.

    Wannabeskinny

    Your ticker says 199???

WOW! WTG!!! You did it!! YEAH!!

    worththeeffort2

You are doing awesome!! Keep up the great work! You didnt need to wait to join us. Its ok if you have more to lose. Glad your here now though.

    Streudel

    Great work!!

We'll need to think of a new thread for once we all get under 199.
    _____________________________________

Okay so the last few months I have steadily been losing 5 1/2 - 6 1/2 lbs.

I keep my walking minutes at around 80-85 on average for every day.

My calories were at 1800 on average every day for a few months except April where I wound up at 1955 daily average cals.

I keep an eye on them earlier in the month. But usually the last week I eat really clean, as in no fried foods, no overly salty foods, I may dip my calories a bit lower if I need to balance out any previous bad food days.

So I am sure this month will be fairly similiar.

This month I did tell myself to try to average 1700 calories though.

I do my best to keep track, but there are occasional things that creep up every once in a while where I need to throw a good guestimate at it.

Like cake for my daughters birthday. We had a sweet 16 party for her over the weekend.

    I made it myself.

I spent so much time on the cake and cupcakes that I did not want to spend more time calculating all the calories into fitday.

I had a nice slice on Sat and none on Sun, Mon I had 2 bites, last night one bite.

Even though there is tons left. No ice cream. Unless its spumoni its not worth it. Even then I would measure a 1/2 cup.

We made enchiladas, salsas, guacamole, bean dip.

I would eat the mexican food normally, I just make sure I count cals. But what I usually stay away from is salty chips. I did have about a serving worth and the scale sure showed it with water retention!

Fri I had fried chicken from safeway, the previous fri I did the same. These foods are still on plan, as long as I stay within my calories, but what sucks is even though I can work things into my calories, I am more concerned with water retention. So I try to keep these fried/overly salty foods to a minimum.

My last "low weight" this month was 206.6 on June 6th. Every day since then it has been in the 207 range, except for June 15, it was 209!!

I hit a new low today, finally!!

    205.8 lbs.

So I am happy about that. looking at the calendar I have 2 weeks left of this month so I need to make sure the salty foods are behind me and that I stick to really good calorie days.

Average daily calories so far this month are approximately 1690 per day, so I am not doing bad at all.

I just need to make sure that it stays that way.
  • Hey all ! I'm not stepping on the scale these few days around TTOM. I know it's up, but I don't need to torture myself with water weight gain. Still chugging along though.
  • It's wonderful to come in here and see so many posts with people excited and upbeat - even when there's been a little bit of a set back here and there.

I'm down to a new low today 214.7 after a week of gaining a pound or so and then waffling around that number for a while. It's my first "plateau" since I started, so it was little worrying, but I know better and knew it wasn't going to last (I say "plateau" because a week isn't even really a plateau - it's just the usual way this works.)

Congrats to everyone who's doing so well, both in staying on track or with incorporating some treats or indulgent events into their routine.
  • I worked out yesterday and I'm up to 209 Today! Ah. Up 4 lbs in a week does not make me happy. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon.

    That's great news! WTG!

    Claygirl1518

Your probably just retaining water from the work out. Don't sweat it.
