It is so nice to be able to spend time here. I REALLY missed being with you. I have all my shopping done – still have to do my wrapping. Christmas Eve we are travelling up to my Sister’s for a big family get-together. Christmas day, it will just be my DD & SIL and I at their house. I have NO cooking to do – just eating.

I have had a subscription to the Jackie Lawson site for several years. I no longer send paper cards. I send these to everyone on my list. NOTE: I did NOT pick this one because I got too upset about the cat being out in the snow.

Sounded like NaOnka is getting in trouble for her mouth. Both Jane and Holly cleaned up pretty. sighhhhhh have to wait until Feb for next show..hugs,karen3
Yes, I watched the finale. I was happy that Fabio and Jane won. Fabio made me laugh & of course, I LOVED Jane. Naonka should be FIRED! I think that girl is a sociopath. Yes, I was especially impressed with Holly. Almost makes me want to start using makeup again.

I agree. However, my DD suggests that we decide to believe that she took off to Aruba and is hanging out on the beach drinking Mai Tais.

If I have a choice between sugar cookies or fruit, I want the fruit more than the cookie. Don't know why, but sugar is almost distasteful to me. I am hoping I can develop the same attitude towards salty and fatty foods.
My son-in-law asked me to make my Christmas cookies for him. This was a biggie for me – I have not baked cookies since 2006 when I found out I am diabetic. Unfortunately, it turned out as I had feared – I ate the dough as I made the cookies & felt REALLY sick that night. Since then, I have NO desire to eat anything sweet.

It's been a rough week or so. I got that virus and it really kicked my butt! I ran a temp for 6 days and lost my voice. Had to miss 2 days work. I finally went back to work on the weekend and I was tired but didnt' feel too bad. Finally! I missed so many shopping days! I am sooo behind. I have to get out today to finish up. I hate running out at the last min., but what can you do? I have to work Christmas Eve and that is when we celebrate. The kids go to DDIL's mom's for Christmas day. I'm not sure how I am going to manage dinner. I am thinking I can make most of the stuff the day before and DH can finish it up. I get home at 8, so it will be a late celebration. No matter, it will still be Christmas and fun.
The Grands spent the night Monday and it was fun to have them here for the night. They are getting too old too fast! They were going to spend another night, but my son called from the Er to say that he had fallen on the ice and hurt his shoulder. They are thinking torn rotator cuff, but he has to go see an orthopedic surgeon as soon as possible. I know how painful those are, had one the first of last year. So he is off work for some time now. When the kids found out they had to get home and take care of dad.

Well, I know that the pleasure of spending time with loved ones outweighs the difficulties in preparing for it, but it’s still pretty challenging for those of us who are still working, you know? But, I know that you will handle it with your characteristic warmth and grace, and then tomorrow, when most of the rest of us are just getting started, you’ll be able to cuddle up on the sofa and watch a good movie, right?)

for me anymore….
I hope you’re able to adjust – and feel better – soon. And , in the meantime, enjoy all the extra stuff that your dh is doing. Gotta love it, right?
